Inflation on pservers
Most pservers I've been on have addressed this, but we always end handling enormous quantities of gold (1b, 2b...) for a single item, why not just cut the gold drop to a very minimum so prices remain low? No need for goldsinks that doesn't really work like lotteries or expensive teleports.
What do you guys think about this?, Has any server succesfully dealt with this?

Doesn't work. There will be inflation as long as people gain profit by doing XYZ. If you want to stop inflation properly you cant just go by stupid **** as lowering the income.
Even if you lower it, it won't decrease the RELATIVE value of gold. All it does is reduce the numerical value.
If you really want proper handling of gold, go read about monetary and fiscal policies.

I don't see how it matters? In a virtual economy inflation (or deflation) doesn't matter.

No it's not simply inflation. It's inflation over certain short time periods and general price fluctuations. Additionally, its about empirical probability of inequality in the distribution of wealth and income.
