[GUIDE]Server sided problems? Come & Ask.

I felt like helping the community a little bit. So go ahead, ask questions and we might end up developing awesome new stuff.

What you can ask?:
  • Any kind of DB/SQL errors.
  • Any kind of DB tuning issues, ideas, suggestions, possible solutions et cetera.
  • Server files communication and/or general networking.
  • Packet related things. Parsing, understanding joymax' (non-existing) logic.
  • Basic to advanced PK2 related things. (Keep in mind, I'm not a PK2 person, when i need to do something, i find out how to do it and do it.)
  • Advanced certification issues. Multiple divisions using one actual server only etc.
  • Exploits & Protection

What you should NOT ask?:
  • Server setup related problems.
  • Basic problems.
  • Things which are answered already.

Now, go ahead and ask. Let's see what you guys can come up with.

Question 1 : Why do we fail in the normal setup of certifications with 2+ agents? In the working 2x agent-certification, the second Machine Manager says "Server cord no found". Although, this is supposed to be an error, but magically, it works.
On the other hand, if you configure a 2-agent certification the same way you do with a normal certification, it shows no errors BUT it gives C10 at connection.

What is the "logical" explanation?

I'm not sure on what you mean there. I've never had any trouble with my 2x agent certification... I only had "Coord not found" when i tried setting up multiple agentservers on the SAME machine.

just show me the srNodeData, NodeLink, NodeType. You're probably linking them in a wrong way.


EDIT: I assume you have an additional un-needed NodeLink.

Question: All servers out there seem to have errors with (c10) after a couple of hours of connections, this error may appear randomly, what happends?

C10 is something like: "unexpected connection received. Cannot identify security token (several reasons)."

Example:
Bad server files restart.
Shardmanager memory leak
Internal packet loss
Bad routing via packet filters.
Bad load balancing
CrC of handshake
TCP sequence invalid
Too low latency (ends up in sequence issues)
Shardmanager doesn't validate users login
Game server memory reached max and thus cleaned some vaguely important data.

I could keep going like this forever... It really depends on the situation

You've messed with _AddNewCos way too much it seems. Try cleaning up _AddTimedJobForCos or whatever that table is called.
(PS IT WILL DELETE PAGES 2-5 for grab pets, becareful!)

Additionally, check the inventory of that character, check the RefItemID of the pet. Get clean refobjcom, refobjchar, refskill lines for the pets. Check if your lines are entirely the same.

Check if _items.Data column corresponds to an existing _CharCos ID.
You might have deleted the foreign key there (if it exists even.. joymax might've forgotten it). If there isn't a FK there, add one from _CharCos linking downwards to _items. You can also alter the primary key of _Items, set fillfactor to 60 and INCLUDE the data column right there.

PS: I promised to help people, but if you dont have the skills to actually do it, I wont be wiping ***** here.

Gotta go through _AddNewChar then. Most likely you're giving people free pets which aren't suppose to be given out.. Service = 0 etc.

What about c++ error's? on SR_GameServer why many people got that error ?
i meant it closes when starts that's not what i need to explain extacly when Gameserver runs perfect after 5-10 h or 2-3h it going to down randomly wanna know why we and another person got that ****.

If I remember, I had this problem before. And it was caused by windows server 2012. Probably OVH problem's. You can try changing SQL to a better version, SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition or Enterprise.

How can i improve my queries performance? xD especially in update,select,insert statements.

There are many possible solutions, i will write some of them below.
1st:-It is probably buffalo cos trade pet, it is bugged in many vsro based servers.
1st fix:-I usually fix it by removing it xD
2nd:- Your grab pets have 5 pages or higher.
2nd fix:- Set them to below 5.
3rd:- Buffalo cos transport bugs a character when this char teleports to alexandria and crashes it, and whenever the char tries to login again your gameserver will crash/ popup a c++ error.
3rd fix(1) :- fix buffalo inventory size, level through _refobjchar and chardata_xxxxx
3rd fix(2)(temporary fix):- remove buffalo

I have had this problem before and i did everything above to get it working, and it worked, yea it did[after fixing the bugged characters]
