I just started to play on SRO-R again some weeks ago...Well yep it would be pretty much fun if they would fix up few things...like server back to UK und maybe just 1 active GM sometimes who goes around and talk to player or even bann goldbots and those chars who just stand around useless in towns. And yes if cource a new race and a little improvement of the graphic would be freaking nice.

Yes, at least that's what always has been told around in the sro community. There been some information about arabian race on silkroad secrets back then.

In the very beginning in 2004, Joymax wanted SRO to have Chinese, Europeans, and Arabians as characters. But since they did not have any concept about the Arabian race, they included the Europe update first. Now it's time for the 3rd race.First of all, general information about the Arabian chars:

The Arabians (Islamic characters) will have the ability to summon genies. The summoned genies will be able to battle and, through intensive training perform other feats of spirit magic. Islamic characters will be able to use the sword, blade, claw (Katar) and the chakoram (Chakram) as their weapons. The genies will be able to train in the 4 attributes of Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water.

So, the chars will have - not like Europeans - physical and magical attack. There will be 8 skill masteries, for each weapon and each element one.
I am not sure about it, but it could be, that the Genie can learn more abilities using special grey tablets.
There will be 2 big new regions for the Islamic race. These are Sahara Desert and an other - still unknown - area.

Not fake but shitmax seems like he changed his mind to release this
sense they were the last updates just recolouring the old models so they lost their 3d modellers and sro died.

There are race definitions (using Shakrams, Genies of the 4 elements, etc.), weapon sounds, character moan, shout1, shout2 and dying sound definitions.
Those lines have been included to the pk2 files more than 7 years ago.

We will probably not see any kind of content related to the third, and never for the fourth, race, but it's clearly sure, we won't have the possibility adding the new content (expect regions and probably vanity items) to the usual databases. Items will have a different type declaration, which we don't have. New skills won't work because of (probably) new parameter declarations and animations (which our clients won't support), armory and weaponry might work, if we are only using the models without the actual animations and converting the models for the older clients.
At the end half of the content might be able to be added, tho not half of it will work properly.
Get used to CH and EU for a lifetime or hack extreme SRO-R
