i want to know about mssql version.
MSSQL 2008 same with MSSQL 2008 R2 or not???

Use MSSQL 2005 , Because MSSQL 2008 R2 Can not secure your server which will make your server Hack-Able

not really
MSSQL 2k5 has some exploits 2k8 solved
and for now, i havent heard of ppl getting hacked with 2k8 and not with 2k5
remember that everyone MUST secure its server, not just changing login nfo

yeh it`s same with MSSQL 2008R2 as i think i dont know to much about DB but still the installation not same

Also.. ich habe MSSQL 2008 x64 auf meinem Windows Root installiert zusammen mit SQL Managment 2008. Das Problem ist jetzt allerdings, dass ich zwar vom Root aus mich über SQL Managment 2008 einloggen kann, von meinem HeimPC allerdings nicht. Ich hab mir natürlich gleich gedacht, dass wohl die Ports nicht freigeschaltet sind und hab deshalb gegoogelt.
Dies fand ich dann:
Kein Zugriff auf Datenbanken | olivergast.de
Ich hab mir die batchdatei auf meinen Root geladen und gestartet. Lief...

Hallo .
Ich hab da mal ein kleines Problem mit MSSQL 2008 Express
Wenn ich den Installer starte kann ich nur die ersten 3 schritte ausführen
D.H nur bis Setup-Unterstüzungsdateien
Bevor ich meienn Root neu gemacht hab ging es aber jetzt nicht mehr :/
Und ja ich hab den Richtigen Installer genommen :S

Ich habe ein großes Problem, unzwar kann ich keinen account erstellen... wenn ich den testen will im sql manager kommt diese fehlermeldung:

Hab ein Problem mit MSSQL 2008 Express Problem unzwar schon beim ersten schritt weil da steht ja ich muss mein pc neustarten und das hab ich schon so 20 mal gemacht doch immer wieder kommt die fehlermedlung

Since my work hasn't had much use for me this week. I've been dinking around in MSSQL 2008. So far, I've gotten 3 of the database backups to work. Now, the billing one is a bit more troublesome.
