[Help]MSSQL 2008

Since my work hasn't had much use for me this week. I've been dinking around in MSSQL 2008. So far, I've gotten 3 of the database backups to work. Now, the billing one is a bit more troublesome.


The image below will show you my issue.

look at 'restore as' table, u got 3 same name file 'C:\billing.mdf' ...

rename the other the other 2 for example 'C:\billing_1.mdf' or anything else as long it won't clash up the file name.

Thanks a lot man. I'm working on a tutorial for people who want to attempt to use 2008. I popped the Thanks button too!

Great! I get this fixed, now the stupid little server icon in the system tray won't come online. It won't even show up. I've enabled it in the services, bahhh! **** you Microshit!

SQL 2008 doesn't have server agent on sys tray but instead run invisible at background.

just make sure u check your component at sql configuration manager. make sure all the component (etc; sql browser, sql server agent ...) is running.
