Microsoft SQL Server Error 916, whenever you get this kind of errors you can always look around for the fix -google- but oh well, try doing this

1. Bring Object Explorer Details window by selecting View --> Object Explorer Details in menu (or hitting F7)
2. In Object Explorer window click at Databases folder
3. In Object Explorer Details window right-click at the column header and deselect Collation
4. Refresh Databases folder.

You are not following what John has said, it is an easy step by step, as well you can find the exact reason of this error and how to fix it on microsoft website, if you need screenshots of a 4 step procedure, well, that says a lot doesn't it?

ihave the same problem,think they are installed instances.
And i find the solution yet and hope someone help me

If you are not able to follow the steps and the installer appears, I would suggest uninstalling SQL completely, I would suggest using <--- Link to download, so that when you uninstall your engine, you can also delete all of the registry entries it made on the installation, then reinstall it from scratch, and if the issue persists, then follow the four steps mentioned above, or if you have an old version of SQL, upgrade to -at least- SQL 2008 R2 (which has this issue fixed according to microsoft)
