This is something I have been hiding for quite some time. Started writing it before Kingdom and decided not to release when I was a GM there. Kingdom is down so why not release it? Enjoy everyone. This should be helpful to anyone running a Shaiya server.

Thank you ProfNerwosol, quite funny you release this now, since i was playing around with the values, i even figured out the glow myself. This guide is awesome and will help me alot with the development of Shaiya Nemesis, and im SURE it helps alot of other people too!

btw could u tell what program u use to create a new weapon skin?
and the directory where the *.ITM files are located.

Program I don't know. Maybe Photoshop. I know you can download a plugin for it to modify DDS files. It's always a start.

You can find ITM files in data.saf ... in Items directory.

Might be just me that had to do this, but when I was editting Snob boxes, I followed your guide then found a column called "Special" that every other random generator item seemed to have the value of 42. I put that for my snob boxes and they finally work. Before that, I tried restarting server twice and it didn't work. Thanks for the guide and just throwing this out if other people run in this problem.

Interesting. I didn't notice this before. Have to play with it for a while and see what Special does. Thanks. I'll put it in my guide in case someone else gets similar problem.

Lilpro's original file edited to 127.0.0.1 works.

You get character load error usually when something's wrong with Item.SData. Try changing the ReqVg value for Snob Value Box there as well or update it.

To edit the .DDS Files you will need this extension, Place it your Adobe PhotoShop folder as following.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins\File Formats

You will need to make a shortcut of your PhotoShop.exe For some reason when you "open with" on the DDS files it wont recognize them. I just open CS from the shortcut.exe on my desktop and click an drag the DDS file i want to edit.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 <----PhotoShop.exe location



If anyone has information on how to open the 3DO Files would be greatly appreciated, I have done some searching and it seems these 3DO Files are old and supported by few if any programs. I have tried Blenders to break them down, Changing file extension, 3DS Max does not open them most i could get out of them was a wire 2d image =/
