so far i got everything pretty much working i think.. i got the Files all setup.. i got SQL 2000 installed with SP4 but when i try to import the PSM_data files into SQL i get errors or they dont show up im not sure why? i looked at some tutorials to see how to import stuff but they weren't to much help, they said something about using DSC tools or something to import.


I created a new database in the server thingy that is running right now called Shaiya and i tried importing the PSM_Data files into that but i get an error thats like to many columns - non-whitespace characters error 1373

Just make a new empty DB with same name as for example OMG_GameWeb. Then right klick on it and use the "recover from file" or something like it.

why when I press Start All Service, all are on track except Session, and after 10 sec all stop?

It doesn't seem to want to work.

If i could then i would be able to host on a very nice server, with a dedicated 100mb connection (it can take around about 5,000)

I have it setup mostly, but the problem is on Server Patch Config (PSMServer_Mgr.exe) the "Login01" is up with a green cross, doesnt go into the green play button at all, but the others do for 30-40 seconds then they go into pause mode (i think)

When I try and load the game, it says to checking server, please check notice board.

I have tried my public IP and local host IP (127.0.0.1) and even my local IP.

Any ideas?

This isn't live support.

Check the config files, or read through the appropriate threads.

There has been given enough information, and tools over several threads to work it out on your own.

Or supply the config files in a post, and other can take a look, no promises.

If you can't set it up with the information provided, I doubt in your ability to contribute any fixes or enhancements we make.

Ok finally got the green cross gone, had to go through every config file and change that funny text my my server name.

I can start all services and then they all go to the green Play sign like they are working then go into the green pause sign, (Idle? maybe) like:


But still can not log into the server.
Also do you know if you can set the IP of the server in game.exe to an address like: Shaiya.p2p-server.com
Would be handy because my faster server hosted in london has a dynamic IP but is accessable via a domain. (for vent..etc)

EDIT: For webserver I reccomend xampp over wampserver and xampp is offically supported by apache

YGM password looks kinda long, if you used my batch script the Shaiya password will be "shaiya123". Check that the login works in SQL Query Analyzer, and in Enterprise Manager -> Security, make sure Database Link works fine by accessing it's tables.

In SQL Query Analyzer there is no table to login to, I have attempted to login to local by pressing the 3 dots to browse for servers and then using Shaiya/mypass but it fails to login.

As for the Enterprise Manager, I dont quite understand you but I see nowhere anything relating to Shaiya within this and below are two screenshots

To me, it seems it hasn't created a database or a password, I just tried again leaving username/password how yours were but it still does the same thing.

You don't have any Shaiya Private Server Databases... There is your major issue.

You might want to add this to the guide, that there are 6 files what have "ÉñÆü¤ÎÕ½³¡" if it doesn't work check all 6 of them as for me only 2 had the new name.

It doesn't seem to be wanting to create me a database, just tried from scratch yet again...

i need help. when i click Control Service> Start All Server Service. all loads and then pauses again. by themself... and Session doesen't even start. it holds on pause. what should i do?
