ok I got the named pipes thing worked out but now I get a via provider error I have searched for 3 days now to no avail, do you have any ideas on what to do?
what exactly do I need to download?
things I have downloaded:
SQL 2005 STANDARD.
Shaiya full client.
SHAIYA_SERVER_LITE_v0-12.zip.
MD5 hash maker for sql.
is there anything that I'm missing?

If so it basically writes the password and user in sql format as u could see by my post it took the simple test1234 password and changed it completely,
BUT back on subject yes u have everything there that you need =] good luck any errors as Danco said post here
Two problems:
1-i click Game.exe and it says"checking server, please check notice board" and i hear him on skype saying he is online doing stuff in game.
2-my friend created me a account and made me admin and i can get to the server select screen but when i click ok, it says "failed to connect to game server" WHAT DO I DO!? plz help me!
dude, it will be best to make a video tutorial, that's my suggestion
Problem being is that there are too many steps and issues that you have to overcome. Everything that you need to get a server up and running is posted, you just have to search. Plus the troubleshooting part of setting up a server is actually a good thing to learn, that way you learn the ins and outs of the setup and get a better understanding of the inner workings of the game.
When I execute install_server.bat I get the message that the program is unable to log into SQL Server 2005.
I followed the guide step by step, I have no P2P program going and I started with a clean computer (wiped it clean twice). And still I get the error reports :/. I've also changed the settings to actually allow remote connections too and still it fails on it... Anyone got any ideas?

I need help please setting the server i been trying this over all day i make a particion called D: in the particion i created a folder called SHAIYA_SERVER and unzip the server files i follow Zero Steps when i reset the PC i started all server they go Pause i dont know why. and another thing is i cant log into the server.
i installed the Microsoft SQL Management Studi and cant connect if anyone can help me i will apreciate it
