Something to balance classes.(ranger/mage)
Ok starting with ranger/sin ep4 skills and possible edits:
1) lower recharge time of eviscerate/slasher/polution zone/ gruesome attack/dark panic to half.( they are like 60-90 secs normally)
2) Make dark panic dispelable only with priest dispel ( as it is supposed to be) This will also allow dark panic to work on all mobs/bosses which will be of great help while farming.
3) Increase recharge time of Aggravation and Venom Crash from 3 sec to 4sec.
4) Make Phantom Assault aoe.
5) Increase Dex from Agility buff with 30 or change Evasion to last 180secs instead of 30 secs(just as long as the recharge time is) . It uses all mp/sp and is rarely used + doesn't do much of a difference. (archers have this skill too tho). Sins got Bloody karma, which is good enough but you can make it last 180 secs instead of 60 too. Or make both evasion and bloody karma last 5 mins.
Keep in mind that there will be flash lvl2s ( may be lvl1s too) and this will allow other classes to have extremely fast attack speed with higher base attack powered weapons. (staff,2handed sword/axe,crossbow/javelin) While rangers are in disadvantage. They can get extremely fast with just flash lvl1 and their weps give 100-150 less attack power compared to other classes' weps.
Mage/pagans
1) Add 1k hp, 40 rec to Body Protector. ( orc/priests can use it too)
2) Remove cast time on Magic roots.
3) Remove cast time on Rock mountain. ( put 20 sec recharge)
4) Lower cast time of Choir skills to 1 sec and put 1 min recharge.
5) Remove cast time of Confusion.
6) Remove cast time of Fireball.
7) Increase base dmg of Magic missile with 100.
Since pagans get Bloody Karma skill and mages get evasion ( no1 use dex on mage) Change Evasion skill on mage with Bloody Karma.
I thought of suggesting some ep5 skills to make rangers more fun. Like those Mental storms. But only with those 3 skills rangers still wont be of much use. And also if rangers get ep5 skills, other classes should too.
So:
1) ranger/sin - mental storms
2) archer/hunter - soul menace
3) fighter/war - black hole
4) orc/priest - Ultimate restoration ( the one that restore hp/mp/sp )
5) mage/pagan - Non ele aoe + Mass Ambush (Juu's idea)
6) def/guard - Absorb aura ( to add some defence to pt members) or that skill Elate that gives 500 rec to target and uses all mp/sp.
Of course those skills would need some extra editing to suit ep4. May be lower duration time/useable range. For example Elate's rec can be lowered to 250 instead of 500. HP/sp/mp restored by Ultimate restoration can also be lowered.
Those ep5 skills would be fun/useful to have but are not a must. And might even turn very bad, given that ep4 fighters can kill with 2 hits, and pulling people to you with blackhole can easily get all of them down in seconds.
For me, more important is to get the suggestions in blue into consideration. Cuz they are the ones that will make ranger/mages more powerful and useful. I tried not to overpower them with ridiculous changes but give them a slightly better chance to fight.
It sure is fun to hide and ambush with whole party, or lure people away but after the enemy gets to you, an ep4 mage/ranger w/o any edits on battle skills wont be in a good position.
