Name Change error

I have attempted to fix the name change scrolls with the SQL querys from here:

This has been unsuccessful because when a new name is entered at the character selection screen, the error always persists saying "Name Already in Use." and will not allow the user to login unless they enter world with another character and relog, or exit the game completely and log in again.

Anyone have any information related to fixing this? This is the largest problem preventing me from going public . Please and thank you in advance

The script appears to have worked as far as storing the name correctly, but the issue im having is, after the name is entered and the user clicks OK, even if the name is accepted it still retrieves the "Name Already in Use" error and this prevents the user from entering the game with the character until they relog. I am at a bit of a loss as to why this is happening so any insight is greatly appreciated :3
