XNA is dead yes, but MonoGame is a open source version of XNA ans is still being developed. Its really easy to port XNA to Monogame.

We have it ordered by the MobName on startup, we parse all the ini files on startup...

It's pretty much useless to implement IDisposable...

It's pretty much useless to implement IDisposable for managed code. Even Microsoft clearly states its meant to be used for code that does open File Handles or other native ressources.
