Ahoy Pirates,

With todays synch we have fixed the Bonus Map bug. Of course, all players who used this bug has exploited, which is not allowed (See our rules/terms of use). We have tracked every single user, who made use of this BM Exploit. Next week we will check all data and run a ban wave to get all those exploiters banned, who made big profit of it. The pearls, gold etc. will be removed of course.

You do realize the vast majority of players don't use exploits, right? Especially when they warn you ahead of time that they'll ban players for using it. Same thing happened with other exploits, and players said "Not true". Those players no longer post here....

Script is allready being made, just waiting for all noted names from every server (Board admins/Teamleaders check the ships themselves, note the names, send them to HQ to process) and everyone on that list, will receive a 3-9 months ban, and all goods will be removed from the ship.. (The length can be different per ship, based on earlier experiences with exploits, i.e. u got banned for cannon bug/gold bug before.)

So good job posting this, you just made over 5000 USA players lose their ship, and an unknown EU number.. This, exactly this is the reason most stuff remains either secret, or get's fixed within hours without people discovering it..

Old bigpoint wouldn't ban exploiters permanently, but this is another company handling things, the team working on Seafight is the same team which works on Darkorbit, and we all know what happends to cheaters on Darkorbit right? (:
