CaptainHerlock CRASH [help needed plz guy's]

hi all !

i'll explain my pb , ( but excuse me , my english 're very bad ... )


so , i have 7.4 server files + database + client
I follow the step by step guide but didn't work at one moment ...

Restaure database OK
account creation OK
( when i launch princessaurora , i can connect to my auth server )
but when i launch captainherlockserver , i obtain that :

after that, it crash , disapear of my screen ...

The items you have circled in red are non-important factors as they have correctly completed their function. Which was to display to you how many of each was loaded. If the server crashes after a certain amount of time but does not complete with "Connected to Upload" and "Connected to Auth" then you should check your GameLog.txt it may hold a hint as to what failed to load.

If you do not have anything listed in the GameLog.txt another good tracking method would be to clear your server of all traffic and only have you're game/auth db's online while using SQL Profiler to run a trace on the database (game db) when the server crashes look for the last load procedure ran. It will basically point out the table thats failing to load. (Sounds to me like you have a corrupted Arcadia Database)

Normally , after " rankinginfos" , must have "huntaholic and string mob" maybe the pb 're here ....
because of thaht , I think have corrrupted arcadia too , but i've tried all 7.4 arcadia on epvp forum... Plz ismokedrow , have you an working arcadia 7.4 ? or where i can find plz ?

Which herlock do you have? (what's the date of the file) If you're using the version the gameportal team posted then none of the databases on here will work with it. Also, can you post the dump .txt file? That usually will show exactly where it crashed.

It will say Arcadia [BIG DATE STRING].txt and it will be located in the base of your Game_Bin.

As Pyrok said the Call Stack would be helpful in this situation. If you are using the newest Herlock that was made available here (Repeat of Pyrok) you will be unable to load the dbs.

at the end i see : " fault adress may be corrupted. memory dump is terminated " so my setting 're wrong ? :/

Never seen the memory dump say such an error, perhaps Pyrok can go on what exception (52) is. Eitherway mate, the problem occuring is your CaptainHerlock is built to read tables a certain way from the world or (Arcadia) db. Normally when herlock pulls info from the db it will do it in broad range e.g. (SELECT * FROM dbo.MonsterDropTable) the * stands for "WildCard" or "All Columns" if there are columns not present in your table that herlock expects to get returned you will result in a crash.

A few possibilities as it stands:

- You are using a v2 Herlock on v1 Databases
- You are using v2 Herlock with corrupted v2 Databases
- You are using v1 Herlock w/ Corrupted Databases

(I know this because of the way which your Herlock is crashing, many of us have seen it before )
