Hey all ! I wish to create a city in Rappelz ( in outside the map x) But , how can i ?

With your computer... search ... If you looking just a litlle in this forum you will know for the moment we don't know how to import/export 3d model from rappelz...

You can create an existance map by editing map file and rdb

Hummm for have a fully REAL new map you need to give atmoshpere and some datas like sound... etc...

I think a RDB called worldlocation do that... Hoooo sorry !!! Before trolling stop to pretend you a big boss !!!

yeah you need nui and dds.... you really don't need worldlocation.rdb

Use search button for find how to extract/dump...

NUI for add new city? why nui is the basic interface excepted if i make a mistake you don't need it..
DDS? Why? DDS is just a sample texture.

Yes without rdb it will working but you know i speak a REAl new not like your "new" pet where is jsut a poultry with some change....

Ok I am going to facepalm my face now.

nfm is the file you are looking for. Those are map tile files that contain model, boundary, and terrain information. Which means, it tells rappelz what to load in the environment (in your case a city).

nfm stands for nFlavor Map. Which sounds to me like a proprietary map file. So no Valve Hammer Editor.

Maybe someday someone will be able to import these map tiles into a map editor and make custom regions. For now, I see that as impossible.

Other files that start with n also have stuff to do with the maps such as environmental lighting, quest props, speed trees, etc. Also in a proprietary format.

NUI have nothing to do with a city, the NUI is a structure file telling the client how to arrange or (Build) windows such as the Character Information Window or the Inventory Window. DDS like Gr4ph0s said are nothing more than 'Skins' or 'Coverings' and to add a final note, even if you cracked the proprietary files for maps and made a whole new city if you did not add information to the WorldLocation rdb your map would have no name, no lighting, no bgm and would etc.

Note:

It should be common knowledge that almost if not ALL files in the client are encrypted using proprietary formats. This means custom programs must be built to break down or bypass these encryptions, unless well you can get the programs that GALA themselves use.

You need to decrypt the files, get the infos etc, and create an selfmade tool, to edit or add new things.


Its not simple replacing old files

These files are not encrypted...

They are just in a proprietary format. You can handle them directly granted you have the program that only Gala-Labs has.
