I try them via skype to help him but glandus auth emu is wrong.. some installed sql functions are wrong and he have some ips in his router and many setups for ports that he use for a other game pserver
i think he must reinstall an clean sql and set up new with an newer create of auth emu then it will anything work.

Fml, my devs sick and i only know enough to be dangerous. I changed some ip settings for the machine today but made sure to keep the machine main ip the same.

So the problem is it of the blue the auth server says it can't connect on 127.0.0.1 the server is in the wild so where can i check and what can i check? Please be specific as to what and where as to look.

If you are running the server (SQL) on the same machine that you are executing the auth server emulator it should be able to connect to the local machine address unless you changed ports.

Make sure you server services are all running in the configuration manager.

hey everybody how i add some new sounds ? in soundresource i have added the .oggs
now i changed the worldlocation bgm ids and ratio..
but nothing works. when i use an ogg name from an other bgm like lost_island.ogg it will work anyone have an idea ? any file that write in the new ogg?

You need to set "weight" to the Bone of the Dagger ...
At the left side theres a quickbar normaly for "weight tools" ...
mark all vertics from the dagger and set them to 1 like the other from that dagger should be ...
if you allready unwraped the faces to UV texture (looks like you did) the you should be fine ...

But i think LamiaCore is able explain it better i sux at it honestly

Yes. Mainly security and performance.
I'll take DarknessFight as example:
We ran 2 servers: A Windows dedicated server with the SQL Server and the game server and a Linux (Debian) server with the login server and the website.

So first of all let's take a look at the performance thing:
I don't think that with the size of the scene today it has a big impact on performance, but if your players download your client and use your website regulary you use a lot of your upload speed. It drops. If the amount of people downloading the client at the same time is high enough it may even cause lag on the game itself, but as I said earlier, that shouldn't happen with the size of the rappelz scene anymore.
Another point would be (D)DoS: Sure, it's no 100% guarantee that your game server wont be affected and it's a fact that a linux server is better in handling such things, but using this setup makes it harder (by far not impossible, just a few minutes more work, really) for "script kiddies" to attack you and I can assure you that 95% of the people trying to attack you are nothing more than those above mentioned script kiddies.

About the security thing:
Assuming you have a faulty script on your server which enables the upload and execution of (php)-scripts, there is no way it can and will affect your dedicated server at all, means your game server as well as the database (with the correct set up) will be fine.

That's just a quick write-up and by far not complete, but yes, it definitely has advantages running multiple servers. And to be fair, vServers are cheap as fuck. However, this heavily depends on your actual setup.

Edit:
Also: If, for some reason, one of your servers has an issue you have the possibility to a) either use the login and website on your dedicated server in the meantime to have barely no loss in uptime or b) at least have your website to keep your users informed.

The problem is I can't tell you a fast general solution for this.
But I already told you a few things you forgot.
(deleting the old dagger-mesh-part, setting correct weight, no additional bones etc)
