Not sure where you got that port but it was not from the guide.

Other than the port which you will run into problems with later when you try to connect with a client...

Are you sure you set ownership of the databases to "sa" and you configured "sa" to have a blank password.

Are you also sure you have opened the ports you need to open in windows advanced firewall?

According to the guide your server IP should also be set for 127.0.0.1

The only thing you should have set to an external IP in the .opt file if you want to connect with other computers on your network is the following...

S io.auth.ip:10.71.1.2
S io.ip_address:10.71.1.2
S io.port:4504

(Make sure you don't use my network IPs or it will not work for you either)

Yet you have some weird...

S io.port:6686

So it does not look like you have followed the guide very well at all yet.

I am not sure how it worked

Because it is denying you access to the auth database when you try to run it. Some where your opt is wrong, or you did not do your firewall ports, or you did not configure your database ownership correctly, or your SQL services are not running.

I am guessing some of it is your opt, maybe since it worked before, as you say, and stopped maybe your services shut down. Did you check the configuration manager to see if your SQL services were still running?

Why should I give you my .opt? Mine is exactly like the one from the guide except my IP settings.

Why don't you use the one from the guide?

It is what I did, and if you did as well, you would have my gameserver.opt
