Nope, its not about the hackshield. War Rock was developed by a korean Developer Team (DreamExecution). Since memory-hacking is forbidden in Korea and ppl who use it are treated like real hackers, there was no need for DE to protect the game from memory hacking. No one could have foreseen that later, Gamersfirst would buy the licence to publish the game in the U.S. and Europe. So form then on, DE tries to fill all the gaps in the source with any kind of protection, such as sever-siding values or just adding some junk code.
This is the real problem, but most ppl neither know nor care about it. A real pity.
