For now, just use the previous version that supports customization while we figure this one out. I've been having issues myself, so I'll see if I can fix this up.

Guys, maybe i have a fix for your issues. Ok so, when you launch the server on your folder it appears a file called config.json. Ok so, you have to change this parameters ith this stuff:

"gzip": false ------>change it in true
"commerceEnabled": false----->change in true
"httpPort": 7331------->change in 1337
You can edit the json file with notepad, try and let me know. If there is already writed, delete and re-write again and try to restart the server.

Working on a fix for the car dealer now.

EDIT: Fix should be out soon, doing some final testing.
EDIT 2: The fix should be out really soon now, just making sure everything works the way it should.

EDIT 3: Link to the fix below. If there are any more problems, please notify me, although there shouldn't be. The first persona (FLAMINGPEACOCK) has some cars; currently it's not possible to change your default car, although I'll do that soon.

I've tested this quite a bit and it seems to work fine. There will be some bugs, I'm sure, but it should be usable now. To run the server, extract the .zip file to a new folder somewhere, then run the nfsw-may-2011.jar that is inside. A config.json will be created, but this time you don't need to do anything with that. Just run the server again. The HTTP server runs on port 1337 by default. Run the game like you would normally, and then from there you should be good to go!

P.S. If you notice any errors in the console, but the game doesn't crash, they're most likely not bad.

- selling cars
- changing default car
- performance parts (not done in commerce, this'll be fun...)
- bugfixes

* My problem when installing the visual parts bmwm3e46 Race Spec One car turned into silvias15 with new parts
I know that it will work correctly when you will set the main car
However, it is much better now, the vehicles do not copy themselves and that's a big improvement
Powerups work without problems
I am convinced that if he can set the main vehicle the problem will disappear immediately
To sum up, it's a lot better than the previous version, I'm over it now controls

Hmm, cars should not be turning into other cars. I'll see if I can figure that out.

What's new:
- fixed cars mysteriously morphing into other cars

A new bug-fix update will be out later to fix an issue. The "morphing cars" have been fixed, and will fix themselves automatically upon being customized. No more BMWs turning into Silvia S15s.

EDIT: Here's the link to the update. This should fix the game crashing when certain cars are purchased. Basically, I accidentally left something in that didn't allow you to purchase the same car twice; in that scenario, invalid data would be returned.




This time it's only a .jar, so just copy it into the folder with the www folder and config.json file and run it like you normally would.

We always recommand to disabled
ANTIVIRUS and the FIREWALL if it don't work.

Try make work a car without engine.

hmm, I think you need a lot of help.

Here is the tutorial:


"Open two cmd windows,
in the first cmd type CD and near write your directory folder of the server files

(for example CD C:\Users\User\Desktop\Server Files) press enter,

then type this command on the CMD:
java -jar nfsw-beta-srv-1.2-SNAPSHOT.jar

The server gonna be start.

Now on the SECOND CMD you have to do the same method of the first cmd

but you have to go on your CLIENT directory folder

(example: C:\Electronic Arts\Need For SPeed World\Data)

Then type this command on the cmd:

nfsw.exe US a 1

after that, the game gonna start."
