The chat feature included html, which EA sometimes used for in game broadcast but hackers were using html to cause problems. There was also a filter to censor bad words, which was working, although they couldn't reasonably filter out every potential bad word in every potential language used. There was also the issue of players using a temp accounts to "broadcast" information about bugs, exploits, or just general complaints in the game.

EA could have just disabled html from chat. However, by that time, EA didn't want what was left of the development team working on anything not directly related to increase sales of boost, so only a minimal effort on bug fixes, and all work stopped on the main game map, never completing the area linking Kempton, Palmont, Rockport, or the canyons. Rather than fix the chat, they just disabled it.

I'm trying to load the December 2010 client with leorbix's server. But when I click the nfsw.exe shortcut, the game gives off MemoryExhausted.xml, and says this in Command Prompt (note the dark blue text):

the client beta (december) is not working with the server from leo..
I tried to..it did worked somehow (modified driver files"www" folder)
and only thing i could do is join freeroam and join safe house...the rest nothing worked...
not even the driver it self is not shown in game either.

my server is incompatible with the December version, I'll look into fixing that at some point

Ohhhhh, OK! No wonder why it kept giving off MemoryExhausted.xml when I tried to load it. Thanks for letting me know. Good luck in trying to fix that.

Once I fix other stuff then I'll take a look. Shouldn't be too hard, I have most of the data I need.
