Had the same problem here. Solution that worked for me was to switch the persona to another driver using ServerEditor. Booted the game back up again, and it worked.

But then my progress will go back to where I started even though it would be the stuff from online. I think I know how to switch personas through the XML files found in the Engine.svc folder so that way I can still have my cars.

To get special edition cars permamently is easy.
1. Purchase the car, example DBS Volante
2. Use car changer, change your car until you find DBS Volante again, then use f3 to change the visual style to the TH one
3. Go to a/m shop and after it loads press f4, dont exit the a/m shop yet
4. Install some a/m parts then exit the a/m shop

You can use this trick on other cars, so example in the first step you change your car to DBS or V12 Vantage then go find DBS Volante and change to TH edition, follow step 3 and 4, then lastly you will get DBS or V12 Vantage TH edition.

Some bodykits is not compatible so you need to remove it, but you still get the skill and parts and etc exept the kits. Otherwise it will became like this, check screenshot of the LP650-4 Roadster TH Edition

I have installed NFS World from the final update, and I still have it until now.
I have also followed the instructions given for Java, Python, and mitmproxy installations.
However, the Server Launcher cannot detect NFS World.

When I clicked nsfw.exe, i cannot pinpoint to

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Need For Speed World

What should I do?

Kaze, you don't click nfsw.exe but server launcher.exe.

(I can change HAT values, but it's something else that actually makes the car go faster, gear ratio stuff I assume. The HAT values are, actually, just for show.)

Supremo7, how did you change the HAT values? I'd like to make a mod which makes them reflect the car's performance better (no more Mazda3 looking like it's better than Scirocco, no more silly random handling values)

Edit: Actually, I'm looking for someone to send me a link to download the actual "nfsw.exe" file since it's no longer there since they shutdown the servers in C:/ProgramData/ElectronicArts/Need For Speed World. The only file there now is called "trace". Can someone send me a link to it so I can launch the game by adding the shortcut to the launcher?

Edit2: Ok, so I found the file "nfsw.exe", but I'm getting this error on the launcher, "Insufficient memory to continue."

In GlobalEd, under pvehicle/cars/(type)/(car), a few of the unnamed areas (the ones which have their hashes as the name) contain random numbers - Those are the HAT values. Though changing them does not affect performance - they are just mere values for the menu. It's worth noting that there are actually FOUR values for every car. The first one you'll find is the speed value, the next is acceleration, the third one is unknown, and the last one is the handling value. I don't know what this fourth value would have been used for, but its existence intrigues me It could actually be the weight value but I'm not 100% sure about it.

There is more to this game than the community ever knew - A new secret is found every day.

Note: (type) refers to Tuner, Muscle or Exotic - The same way it's classified in NFS Carbon, after all, World was built using Carbon as a base. (car) is the name of the car's folder in the CARS folder of the game (so for example, to get the stuff for the Bugatti Veyron you look for CAR1060, and to get stuff for the CCX Elite you look for CCXWORLD100.

Anyone got a list of which cars do the carxxxx folders refer to? After all, I want all the cars to have sensible values, not just the named cars.

I could make lists and other documentation for the modding efforts and upload them somewhere.

EDIT: Weight values are under chassis/(car)/MASS, so the unused value can't be weight.
