When i modify the name of a mob on mob_proto after i restart the server why the name isn't changing?

do you have the 34k or 2089m game?
if you got the 34k you have to modify the mob_proto.txt in the db directory per winscp / filezilla.

Ah do you mean mobs, you can only change displayed names of mobs clientside in the mob_proto (locale_de file). Only the displayed names of npc's are serverside.

i also translated mob_proto on the client but the names still haven't changed, what do i have to do?
