Hey. I want to find a way to reduce weight of dds and (or) gr2 files. If somebody know how to do that, write to me, we`ll talk about details. I know that it`s possible, because some of servers reduced weight of textures and models by 50%
yes easy possible when you have 3ds mx 2007 in the exporter for gr2 you can choose the compression of the creating gr2 model, but wif you choose a "wrong" compression you will get memory error in the clientside syserr and game crashes^^

This application is coded in MASM.

In Hexviewer I saw that they contains only filenames on ASCII, each with a ltpX (where X is always the same ascii char) before it (like a delimiter) and data ater each one.
