There seems to be no mention of the last one in the right click menu. Mind explaining those, as well?

Well, when I uploaded that version I don't know if I actually fixed the two--they are fixed now though.
AnimationUnlock is a setting which quite literally... removes some animation. It's more for 'fun' though. If you use it with any ranged attack it appears to be quite funny; especially when aiming between multiple targets.
Placement lock was something I made for myself which I used for FH (teleporting disable). With that, I'm able to mass click without actually timing anything, ya know? Getting it to work for yourself though... I'll let you all try to figure it out. XD
As for the delay removals, I didn't include that into the menu because I don't see why anyone would want to... toggle that. I guess I could add it in if you wanted to compare the speeds of it being on and off. On a side note, some users don't like the magic fix so all the more reason to.
-----------------------
Another update:
Actually ported the golem edits from Jinsu. Learned the NOP alternative--kinda funny. That'll be in the next update. Talking golems FTW. Might as well look into healing golems too...

Hmm, this seems very nice. SoG Helper is actually helping me. Keep up the good work. So do you know the updating system will be up and running .

Well I'm trying to get all the bugs and stuff out of the way before I focus on that actually. I've been really pushing to get the next update out so I haven't even considered the installer and such. There are a variety of methods for updating, and picking the right one to go about this is difficult. I'm looking at version checking + download... it seems to be a good way to go. However... once again, I lack a lot of knowledge in all of this, so I'll know when I know.
For a TL;DR: I'm too noob to do that at the moment, but I'm trying!

You're going to need something to host it with. You could try coding something in visual basic to perform the check for you and such, then download the file from the server you choose to host it on. VB might be the simplest way to go and easiest to learn. I haven't seen much of a difference in speeds with my magic or skills though, with that enabled. Maybe it's because I use the mtu fix; dunno. But I'm still looking into ways to actually increase my speed with the server by doing either tweaks to and augmenting my connection. Still makes no sense how some kid in Kansas with a worse off connection than mine has been able to surpass me in reaction time when he is farther away from the server than I am and we both use the same MTU value.

VB... never touched it (though I've seen plenty of examples of its use). I was looking into 3rd party Apps more or less, since a project of that caliber would take a bit too much work for being enjoyable. <.<
As for connection... just remember that speed and latency are two different things, whereas you still want more speed and less latency. With a game like Mabinogi, you can have a C+/B- rated connection from Pingtest and still appear to be lag-less than one with an A rate from the same server. Another thing you might want to keep in mind is that if you want great 'speed' with a sacrifice of bandwidth, DSL is excellent as you can really do a lot to it. Especially if the ISP cooperates with you. Cable... well that depends.
I've been using RR cable in Hawaii for a few years now, and for my career of playing Mabinogi, it was ok: 70 low, 150 peak - avg. 9x
As a PvP obsessed person, I was still capable of topping those with 20ms.. or less? That ping checker in your data folder isn't very true IMHO, by the way.
Anyways, just recently (about a month back), this connection was wrecked. Lowest is 150, peak 700, avg. - 230 or w/e. More to the problem is that the connection is completely unstable. This is where a tracert becomes useful... and oh joy:
Code:
1 1 ms 1 ms <1 ms CISCO71453 [192.168.1.1]

16 122 ms 128 ms 126 ms nexon-16.border1.lax008.pnap.net [216.52.220.66]
My problem is kinda apparent I suppose.
So anyways, just keep in mind that there are a ton of factors which determine your 'reaction time'. You can do a lot on your end to your own connection, but some things like that tracert above are just out of my hands (I think).

"AEQ-Ashburn.as6453.net"
Tough luck...that node/router's been noted as "lossy" over the last 21 days, that's gonna cause some noticeable lag.

Thanks, it is good to know at least.

Check the first page by the way everyone; I did the public update finally. You'll notice that the Pleione engine will be loading slowly at initial startup. Do not worry, as it will not affect you in game! The dbghelp.dll is outputted at 420% or so just for paranoid security. Sadly, that only stops people without common sense from reversing the library.
Keep in mind, READ THE RED when I add it.
Hope you all enjoy!

Just a suggestion, could you perhaps make it so users can have the option of for example:
Bitmap Font with JP/KR additions or Bitmap Font without JP/KR additions.
Some people might like having the title before the name the NA and JP/KR names for items/enchanted items/egos and others might not. Just a little suggestion so users have a few more options. Can't wait to see what else you have planned~

I'll add that to the next update. However, keep in mind that the title file which the installer uses was tailored to work with the reversal of names. So... it won't look too pretty with everything normalized.
At the moment, I'm just trying to get the patcher to work without needing Nogiparty... it's kinda time consuming. I really do want to understand what I'm doing that's why.

Since the dbghelp.dll included is packed, chances are your virus scanner (if set to automatic) will pick it up and delete it. It is NOT a virus, just encrypted, and some do not like that. Just a heads up to all you having this issue out there before you accuse him of hacking you.

It's been in my experience that you don't really cut down on the lag. Lag is caused by the distance traveled to and from the server for your packets. Animations etc are just run client side and if you really want to speed them all up the best option is to buy a ram drive.
They take ddr2 ram and make Mabinogi run like a dream. Or you could turn some of your normal ddr3 ram into a ram drive with some software (Gets a nice fast speed of about 5000 MB sec).
Hacking the client to cut animations and the likes just makes Nexon add it to the server side checks and you'll lose out.

Well, after doing more research, I'm beginning to learn that the methods I've so far used are... pretty pointless considering you could just memory dump my library while it's loaded. Though, it's all part of the learning process--and anyone who knows how to do what's stated above... should already know how to do everything I've done. Either way, looking at another shell-type security for later, so as to not... make the mistake a friend had. ;;

The SoG Helper is... extremely iffy. As Checkbox had stated in his previous posts and in other threads, the 'Elf Lag Fix' is a placebo. The same applies to the SoG Helper, IMHO. While it does help me better my timing--that's all it does! Though, in all honesty, it does makes animations... 'smooth,' if you really are a stickler for your animations. This can be brought forth further to state that: If you have less graphics lag, wouldn't this imply that my game would lag less in general? The next quote brings a good point to a smooth game by the way.
However! The placebo statement is just that: an opinion. Who knows, it might really be SoG for all we know. Of course, I'd be skeptical myself since this is just animation related.
A hint to you: Try animation unlock without the SoG Helper, and with. It's interesting. Best of course, from a Normal | Fast bow.

As you have pointed out, there are variations of lag. In consideration of network, there's only so much we can do. Pray to your ISP, configure everything to be best on your side, hope you're close... pray to Nexon.
As for the actual computer, read/write access would be great with a VRAM drive, though I'd probably sooner buy a SSD. XD
Either way, Mabi's problem hardly has anything to do with access times IMO, it's more of a rendering problem. I would just personally recommend that rather than buying RAM, you'd maybe want to focus on getting a cheaper graphics card. GTS 250 was $65 on TD last I checked? Well, there are too many variables here; a lot of my friends run a Dell with a P4 and live on Mabi.
Anyway, the point to 'modifying' the animations is to ease the pain that users experience while in game. Though, it is minimal, every bit helps. On another note, it gives people something new to play with. I added those modifications so people could have fun as well.
I apologize if it annoys you, but the option to turn them off is there. As for server-siding them... well... I'd sooner see Ghost Lock patched.
***Update:
I'm aware that a few people are having problems with the dbghelp library. It is not... patching Pleione sometimes (Had to restart my computer to see that). Congratulations: You have a fast computer (At least, I think that's the problem). I'll... fix it when I receive more information. If this problem has not plagued you, then great!

No... those files were placed there for a friend. SoG Helper, I repeat, changes the animation. <---
