Help with hacking

I am new to this site and was referred to by an old friend of mine. I wish to hack kal and thats why I am here. I have learned a bit of C++ and know that kal can be hacked by this. I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction of getting started and making some awesome hacks, or simply linking me to some that work/how to use them. Thanks
