You don't have any warning nor infraction, your stats are ok, and if moderator in forum/section you want to apply for, is inactive, and that forum/section needs a moderator, I think you will have a chance

You can't take it out on your own... You have to wait until it expires.

And that you were already 'allerted' doesn't mean anything, if you brake rules more times, you will probably receive more warnings/infractions.
