I would like to apply for the position of a moderator for the MapleStory Section.
The MapleStory Section has been already existing for about 7 years and throughout these years many people have visited the section. Besides new discussions, questions, server openings and programs, there were also postings, which weren't compliant to the rules. Due to that, I want to spend my free time in pursuing this issue to keep this section clean respectively compliant to the rules.
However, first I'd like to offer some information about myself:
My name is Soni, I'm 16 years old and I'm currently visiting the high school in Lower Saxony.
German is my native language, but I can also speak English and got a qualification in Latin (if this is relevant).
I've been already playing MapleStory since its release and thus, have seen many good and bad innovations. Starting with the European version of MapleStory (due to an increasing popularity over the time more versions for other continents were added), my interest in the global version came up quite early. In between I had serveral encounters with different MMORPGs, such as for example NosTale, Atlantica or Cabal Online.
During this time I could acquire more knowledge, concerning the internal as well as the external range.
Usually I am trying to answer every question, hint at rules or report rule violations as well as possible. My goal is to create an atmosphere where users feel comfortable in communicating with each other. A structured and "clean" section isn't an immaterial issue in that.
To answer the question whether one is adapted for the role as a moderator is difficult to answer objectively, as the point of view will be always a subjective one. Nevertheless, I can clearly state that I can handle the strain pressing on a moderator because I have plenty of experience regarding internships and activities dealing with children up to seniors.
Every question is taken seriously by me and my answer is given carefully due to my point of view, but always in a friendly and committed way.
I do not have any specific experience as a moderator yet, but I have worked in teams on projects dealing with the development of programs and websites.
On average I am several hours online in the forum each day, throughout different times and open-minded for any question. I am most online in the evening.
Many things have influenced my decision to apply as a moderator on elitepvpers. Among other reasons I want to support elitepvpers and be supportive to the community. However, at the same time the game itself is near and dear to me as well as creating a place where equally minded people can communicate to each other. That's my motivation for every day to come.

Die MapleStory Sektion gibt es mittlerweile seit sieben Jahren und mit der Zeit verirrte sich so mancher Spieler in diese Sektion. Neben neuen Diskussionen, Fragen, Servereröffnungen und Programmen gab es auch Beiträge, die nicht regelkonform waren. Aus diesem Grund möchte ich in meiner Freizeit diesen Dingen nachgehen und die Sektion möglichst sauber und konform halten bzw. leiten.
Doch zuerst ein paar Angaben zu mir selber:
Mein Name ist Soni, ich bin 16 Jahre alt und besuche zur Zeit die Oberstufe eines Gymnasiums in Niedersachsen.
Ich spreche, neben meiner Muttersprache Deutsch, natürlich auch Englisch und besitze das große Latinum (sofern das relevant ist).
MapleStory spiele ich nun schon seit der Eröffnung und habe so manche gute und schlechte Neuerung miterlebt. Angefangen mit der europäischen Version (aufgrund steigender Popularität kamen immer mehr Versionen für andere Kontinente hinzu) wurde mein Interesse früh für die weltweite Version geweckt. Zwischendurch hatte ich auch immer wieder Begegnungen mit unterschiedlichen MMORPGs, wie zum Beispiel NosTale, Atlantica oder Cabal Online.
Im Laufe dieser Zeit konnte ich mir so immer mehr Wissen aneignen, sowohl im internen als auch im externen Bereich.
Generell versuche ich so gut es geht alle Fragen in der Sektion zu beantworten, Leute auf etwas hinzuweisen oder Regelwidriges zu melden. Eine Atmosphäre zu schaffen, in der sich die User untereinander austauschen können, ist mein Wunschziel. Dabei spielt eine strukturierte, „saubere“ Sektion keine unwesentliche Rolle.
Die Frage, ob man psychisch für den Posten geeignet ist, ist schwer objektiv zu beantworten, da man nur aus subjektiver Sicht sprechen kann. Dennoch kann ich von mir klar behaupten, mit dem Druck, der als Moderator auf mir lastet, umgehen zu können und ich weise aufgrund einiger Praktika und Tätigkeiten im Umgang mit Kindern bis zu Senioren reichlich Erfahrung auf. So nehme ich jede Frage ernst und beantworte sie gewissenhaft nach eigenem Ermessen, aber immer freundlich und engagiert.
Erfahrungen als Moderator habe ich in diesem Sinne noch nicht, konnte jedoch schon in Teams an Projekten mitarbeiten, die sich mit der Entwicklung von Programmen und Homepages beschäftigen.
Durchschnittlich bin ich im Forum täglich zwischen unterschiedlichen Zeiten mehrere Stunden anzutreffen und stehe für jegliche Frage zur Verfügung. Die Zeit variiert, jedoch bin ich meistens am Abend online.
Vieles beeinflusste meine Entscheidung mich als Moderator auf elitepvpers zu bewerben. Unter anderem, weil ich elitepvpers unterstützen und der Community eine Stütze sein möchte. Aber genauso liegt mir das Spiel am Herzen und einen Platz zu schaffen, an den sich die Leute, die das Spiel genauso lieben wie ich, austauschen können. Das zu schaffen, ist meine tägliche Motivation.
Ich hoffe, dass meine Bewerbung den Anforderungen gerecht wird und freue mich auf eine Rückmeldung.

Ich denke jetzt nicht, dass soviel i.d. Sektion ist, dass dafür ein Moderator gebraucht werden könnte.

Er ist ein sehr aktiver und aktiv reportender User in der Maple Story Sektion.
Bisher hatte ich von ihm kein Fehlreport. (was in anderen sektionen öfters der fall ist) Offenbar kennt er sich mit dem Regelwerk gut aus.
Ich würde gerne einem User der so aktiv dabei ist die Chance geben Moderator zu werden.

Strukturiere deine Bewerbung vll ein bisschen besser, bzw setze Überschriften! Ich finde dieser Fließtext ist nicht so schön zu lesen!
Das große Latinum bekommt man nach Abschluss der 10. Klasse mit mindestens 5 Punkten im Fach Latein.
Eine Unterscheidung zwischen dem großen und kleinen Latinum gibt es so gesehen aber nicht mehr, da das kleine Latinum abgeschafft wurde.
Überschriften habe ich absichtlich nicht gesetzt und stattdessen Absätze gelassen.

To help the people! What else? :) I know that there are many people out there that will fall for scams and such easily, and me as an experienced player and hack-user will hopefully help those people! And of course I'll remove all the viruses from the section! :p
