An alternative would be just to take a working bot - copy the gwa2 and try if everything is working. Since newer updates havn't really hurt any patterns everything which is updated is kinda fine/stable.

After that, just start your bot. If there are any dublicated functions - a error message will appear telling you in which file and which line the dublicated function is.

you can either directly delete or just comment the function out (i would recommend this approach)

Why ? E.g. 1 function was bad/not working --> just change and delete the other function.

It is a littlebit trail and error for the first time. But it is not really complicated, you need 0 coding, scripting knowledge and you will be much freeer in also updating older gwa2 based bots.

Yeah really with all the code that's already there you don't even need to learn any coding really.. maybe a basic understanding but with all the functions people have already created, it's so easy to make new bots just by copying and pasting, using TB or botdevtool to get coords. Maybe it's not for some people but if I see at least some effort in trying, i'm always willing to help even with what little knowledge i have. If you try and fail cool, ask for help but don't go straight for asking someone to do all the work.

While it is publicly available gwa2, it also contains updated functions that may not work right away with old scripts. Minor adjustments to the bot script may be needed to work with it! This is the GWA2 I update scripts with so please before anyone comes to forums complaining it might not work cause you just dropped it in there and it’s giving you an error where parameters or subscripts are incorrect, check the change log updates to identify what has been changed.

I would love to fool around with existing mods to try and create something to contribute, however I could use a pointer in how to get coords when making an autoit GW bot. Is that to be found in the autoit help or do you use other method of getting coords?

I found this lurking on here awhile back, or maybe I found it on GitHub, don't remember honestly but this works amazing for getting coords, you click the button and it automatically copies/paste the coordinates of your character. Among the other functions there are on it, I don't understand how the whole tool works entirely but its helped me tons with coordinates. Aside from this, toolbox is a must have as well in my opinion. It can tell you pretty every single thing you need to know about items, npc ID's and so much more.

This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much! I used to program PHP by using code snippets and customising so I hope this adventure with autoit wil work out the same ^^

well..i need tbh. Im not able to fix that NicolasBots. They show me different errors and stuff and i feel like making it even worse with every click i make.
Can anyone fix that ForgottenTrinkets for next week. Ill try to learn from that

As an exercise for myself, I fixed it by replacing newer GWA2 and GWA2_Headers files and slightly modifying the Forgotten_Trinket_Boxes.au3

and again. im not able to make the IcyHumbs bot work.
I used a GWA2 from another working bot, but it does not end with showing errors.

The forgotten trinket above did not work for me neither.

There are three steps it takes usually :
1. Copy newer GWA2.au3 and GWA2_Header.au3 to the script directory. You can use the ones from the scripts I updated in this thread.
2. Add next line to the top of the script you wanna update (for example 'Icy Humps.au3'):
#include "GWA2_Headers.au3
3. About the endless errors you're experiencing, If those errors regard "duplicate function found", then you can find those functions in the file AddsOn.au3 file and just remove them there.
What you need to remove is the start of the function all the way to end of function like so :


I updated Icy Humps file. Feel free to check it out. If this one doesn't work for you either, you might want to let us know what exactly isn't working for you. While I was typing this reaction, I tested the script and allready got 3 Icy Humps.

If we could get it sorted before the week changes, you might actually benefit from it

thank you. it is working for me as well. good job. i try to check your code and what you changed.

it appears that the bot does not pick up every Icy Humb, he ignores some drops. cannot see any pattern, when he picks and when he doesnt. ill try to check that

The original script's readme file states that it's a very rough way of farming.
So pathing and effectiveness could be way better.

Since you can only get 5 gifts from Nicholas per account per week it's not that big a deal
