Guild Wars Botting API Patcher

Hello,

as some might have read, I worked on a patcher to make updating headers easier for old/legacy bots.

This should make 99% of your old bots work again.

This patcher scans your GW botting files for functions using headers and replaces them with variables. After future bot breaking updates you can then update the headers in one file (or leech the new header file from someone else), just paste the header file into all other bots, and start botting again.

The patcher may throw a warning, if it failed to find a function in your files.
This means you'll have to do some basic to advanced error handling.

I have included a very detailed readme file. It contains all info on what this patcher does, how to use it and how to do the error handling.

Read the readme before asking.
Also no more support via PM. I get way too many pms.
No more support on stuff that doesnt relate to this patcher. I already fix your bots with this, I wont write your pickup and sell functions.
Please post all changes/additions you've done.

I will try to update the patcher and headers, but I won't promise anything.

I tried it on the ferry bot i have but it keeps d/c and crashing gw.

Download toolbox ++ 2.10, you can ferry tool

I need more info, if you want support.
Did you read the readme?
Did you get an error message from the patcher? If yes, what does the log say?
Did you apply the patcher to all bot files?
Exactly which bot are you using?

Send me the bot (per pm if don't want to share it publicly) and I'll have a look at it.

Edit:
I double checked with the ferry bot, that I had. Worked perfectly fine. I added it to the main post.
Still interested in what made the patcher fail for you.

Just wanted to add that disable rendering appears to be working correctly again. I've only tested 3 different bots, though.

these are not needed for gwa, it uses a function a few calls up from the packetsend to buy/sell items which will generate the packet

if these are what i think they are then id remove them, they dont work and never did

Yeah, I figured that too when I had a look at the buy and sell functions in gwa2. I didnt add the comment, but kept all dialogs I found.

I found them inside functions of some GwAddons or GwBibles. I couldnt reproduce how the packets looked like, so I just kept the reference for now.

Good to know it just doesnt work.

Thanks for the input, I will integrate it into the files tomorrow I guess.

And thanks for everything you and the others from GR provided. I dont really remember who originally wrote the gwa2 updater and it has no real credits in it, other than for a few lines, but I know you at least helped to write it. So thanks for that as well

Ty for your patcher,
It worked well to bring that ol' JQ bot back to business

I also have an old script for HA that definitely needs lots of work, but if l have some spare time l'll try to fix it and share.

Grats to your work and all the work of the GR team you based this updater on, GR was the thing
