I would also like materia advice for improved efficiency with this bot.

This is 100% guess, but based off the prices of materia, I'm assuming you want enough craftsmanship and control to meet the requirements to be able to craft at all....and then dump the rest into CP. But I have no idea how right or wrong that guess is.

Materia prices are misleading.

Every single piece of gear you want to Max it's CP, it's just that its easy to max CP.

Then you want to get the minimum craftsmanship to craft what you want, and boost control as hard as you can.

You also wanna optimize how much money you spend doing that obviously, so dont put your CP materia on your guaranteed slots.

Good to know. ^_^ I'm still leveling so I haven't done anything with materia at all; since all my gear is eventually going to get replaced anyway, I'd rather not invest. When I hit level 60 gear, though, I'm going to start putting materia in my gear. But for now I'm a total materia newbie. =P

Speaking as someone with BiS that has completed their melds, check out the FFxivguild BiS guide for crafters and generally follow their advice- there are certain ironworks pieces that can be entirely capped so go for that, for accessories and belt you can do tryhard melds and stick IVs and IIIs in the overmeld slots.
Generally use Vs in every open slot and try and cap cp on everything like Acme said, and do tools last since most people are omnicrafters and a tool meld is 1/8th the value of a body gear meld. I personally stuck CP IVs into every tool I have as filler since you can remove them later.
Also look into the crafter food you plan to use, seafood stew is good for endgame with enough craftsmanship melded, you may find you need heavensegg soup if you don't quite meet the requirements.
I recommend you learn a simple rotation like Rath's if you ever feel the need to try and craft something by hand, or need some advice to give someone about crafting that isn't just 'I use a bot, you should too.' The way the bot crafts is very math heavy and something only a computer could do, and it really uses every drop of cp. An update could easily kill it too, and you wanna be ready to craft when stormblood drops. Other than that, great program, been crafting up a storm since I got it.

I agree with this. Unfortunately, my 'hand' crafting is only mediocre at best. I rely on the bot to do all the heavy stuff. I tried to do the 2 star crafting, but i got craftsmanship locked because i was short about 50 crafts points. So.. yeah. Unfortunately, i cant do much with hand crafting, because all my skills are put into pushing control rather then progress, and i set up my cross-skills like first post suggestion (for 2-3 star crafting). But i'm thinking on adjusting it to No-star crafting because i cant craft 2 stars anyway. Feels like such a waste to put those cross-skills if the bot cant use them anyway.

Now, as for problems. I came across a problem with the bot. I put my bot on my desktop computer to bulk craft materials while watching Netflix on my main computer (laptop). I had the bot craft 5 of each grade 1 dissolvent, a crapton of mythrite ingots, a crapton of wing glue, and a crapton of holy/hallowed waters. I was fine when doing the dissolvents, but when it went to armorer to do mythrite ingots, it kept getting stuck at Byregot's blessing. Been trying to use it, but didnt have the CP to use it. I dont know what the problem was. The rest of the stuff went off without a hitch. Each time it got stuck on BB, i would just manually hit CS2 to finish off the craft and let it continue. 50% of the time the bot would finish the ingots without a problem, the other 50% of the time it would get stuck on wanting to use BB without the CP to use it. I'm assuming it was a problem with framerate or something. I'll have to double check skill list and make sure everything is in the right button slots.

Edit: Btw, there was an update, so i'm betting it broke the bot. Good thing i got all my mythrite done. Imma spend this time to go hunting for Aquapolis portals.

You can check the error logs to see if it was pressing anything it didn't want to. I'd guess you have the buttons incorrect for Armorer, like Ingenuity 1/2 reversed, or something.

It's actually been working fine for me, it managed to do high mythrite tools with no issues. Lemme know if there's anything about it that's broken atm, I've been using it pretty flawlessly since patch

Exactly, you only have to do this once, then save your FF setup if you ever have to reinstall FF

Actually, there's a good command I used when setting up - If you don't use shared hotbars like me, you can set up one class perfectly and then make a macro with this command:

/hotbar copy BSM 1 ARM 1
Will copy BSM's first hotbar over ARM's first hotbar. I put this in a macro seven times, changing the class it copied to for each line, and with one button I could make sure every crafter had the same hotbar keys for that row as my BSM. Doesn't have to be BSM or hotbar 1 specifically, just using that as an example. I then repeated as needed for hotbars 2-4 by replacing the numbers in the macro.
