To add to the above post, it's possible to use text commands to change cross class skills, if that can be implemented.

Not sure why but it managed to fail a sync by 1 twice in a row now.. not sure why the calculation is off but it's only happened twice.

Maybe it's miscalculating Ingeunity? I'm not sure tbh.

Sent the snippet since attachments are restricted. Any idea if I'm missing a setting to always try for HQ even if the recipe doesn't generate one? Working on moogle quests and it just seems like it would be easy for it to max quality for exp - but i'm assuming because no HQ is possible it just finishes it.

Yes that's hardcoded it just finishes if no HQ is possible, didn't think about people exping, I will add that in for the new version.

Honestly I'm fine with the hardcoding, it saves time. Like I was upset at first that things like barding and minions and whatnot didn't try to HQ but frankly the xp bonus from trying to HQ that one thing is not really that much at all.

If you do take out the hardcoding, please return it at level 60 where you don't get xp anymore.

Also, just crafted my first collectable today and the window that appears afterwards immediately disappeared before I could even read it. Of course thanks to the bot the rating was way high enough, but if I understand correctly there's a way to back out of it being a collectable if the rating's not high enough? Is there a way to set the goal rating or does the bot do this automatically? Or is it not worth it? I'm pretty new to end-game (or what's currently endgame) crafting so maybe my ignorance is showing.

Also, was really hoping for Acme's comment on the 'have the bot set your skills for you' idea from the previous page, even if it's to say 'nah not gonna do it' or 'maybe in the next big update' or 'after stormblood releases' or something. =P

If I can set skills through just writing to memory to the spot I read what your crossskills are I'll definitely do it, it shouldnt be too much work if that's all it takes, but I don't think it's that simple, otherwise I'm probably not going to do it, because it'd be way too much work.

You really only swap skills when you're leveling crafting, and occasionally when there's a new content patch with higher level recipes, the last time I swapped my skills was like 3 content patches ago, so I'm not going to reinvent the wheel for that.

As far as having it smartly not try to HQ only if you're max level that's very easy to accomplish, so I'll definitely add that in.

I think you underestimate how often people level. Everyone levels at least once, often people level all 8 classes, and that's not even counting alternate characters. Not everyone is level 60 on all 8 classes for the last 3 patches. =P There's plenty that might be level 60 with one character, level 20 with another, level 40 with another, etc. And the 'best' skills would constantly fluctuate, both with what gets unlocked as the classes level, as well as the level of the crafter or even the level of what's being crafted.

That said, if it's too much work, it's too much work. I was hoping it'd be something similar to how you navigate the recipebook or the repair window. Just have a keybinding to open up the skills window and swap them around. Maybe a little bit more convoluted than simple navigation as it would need to figure out the recommendation to have, then compare that with equipped, then see if those skills are actually available TO equip, and then decide which ones to swap out, etc.

But I was thinking the actual swapping action would be simple navigation like you already do in the recipebook or the repair window.

Perhaps someone could have a leveling set with which to utilize? I dunno, pre 50 it was pretty easy as you usually had the same skills.

I'm currently on the awful 49-53 gap that is killing me but, if I just find a way to grind past this I think everything smooths back out once you buy NQ then HQ your own stuff... least I'm hoping that's what happens.

EDIT: And I guess i'd personally still like to HQ non HQ'able things. the XP difference between some of the mog stuff is 20k, which x3 for a quest is 60k, or 1/3rd the exp you get from completing the mission, for all of maybe 2 minutes time? Combine it all together and it's usually around 100k free exp for 5 minutes. If you dont want to HQ them, there's an option to turn off try HQ and bam - objective met.

HQing when playerlevel < maxlevel is already implemented on new version.


Right now:

1) Finish new version.
2) Fix the "kinks" on pulling from retainer - which is absolutely godly feature that I think many of you don't use it.

Not sure if this is reported yet either but, if a recipe requires an item to craft and you have HQ mats outside of that item - the bot fails to grab the HQ items - Example: Electrum Ambelic, requires Mythril Ambelic and 2 electrum ingots. If you have all HQ mats (because your bot is awesome), when you go to make the Electrum one it adds the Mythril Ambelic then tries to craft without adding the 2 Electrum Ingots.

Nice! I guess I feel like a jerk for pointing things out lol.

Hilariously for some odd reason on some really low recipies with innovation and ingenunity it does some really weird cycle of just spamming abilities and not actually crafting, until you run out of CP. Not a big deal as you always succeed in the end, but I found it funny.

I tried the retainer thing but it's not working. That's likely because i dont know what the "repair" hotkey option is and it seems to be using it. I'm trying to see why it's not switching tabs or picking anything... It does shift through the first tab though XD. I'll try to figure it out and let you know what I find.

Yea the retainer thing is touchy atm:

1) You gotta setup a macro ingame to sort your retainer I believe I posted the macro.
2) Your retainer needs to be selling something(lol).
3) It wont work always depending whats on your retainer.

I've seen it twice, the most recent being working on one of the 4th rank ixali quests ... maybe the transmission component (Getting into gear). But it was something like - if you have innovation, Ingenuity II, Great Strides, and Steady Hands II (or steady hands?) it does some funny thing where it hits innovation first, then greater strides, then ingenuity 2, then steady hands, then innovation, then greater strides, then ingeunity? Or maybe by that point you're out of CP and it just uses standard tough and 100%'s it.
