Sweet, good to hear it. Another thing I'm curious of, is whether or not mobs move around. It's not a big deal if they do not, but either way, I'll thank ye for it.
I made a zip file including
-pXI_scripts_r2177
-pXI_server_r1430
-meteorXI-0.9.0RC1 modified to function properly.
-ffxiupdate.bat (2 versions, modified to work on 64bit and x86)
-Tom Neverwinter's Update folder, which I have not tested.
also there's a few text files with some crappy instructions.
I also forgot the hex/decimal/binary converter I said I included hah. oh well.

Skip ahead a little, I uploaded a mXIv0.9.0RC1 that doesn't crash, even with scripts loaded.

I just uploaded my current build, (I forgot what I compiled to spit out this version, I was trying many different things).
Please do not separate Mysql.bat from the other files, or rename the folder. This will cause it not to work. An alternative would be making a shortcut to it.
This zip also has an executable mysql.bat which already has a working database on it.
If you want to try it on your build, the username is root, the password is ascent. Plug that information into your pxi.ini file.
Yes, this was taken from a wow emulator, I just modified it a little.
But I figured it would be the easiest way for someone to setup a database, just load it, then load Spira.exe, and when it's done, execute my modified mXI0.9.0RC1 and bickety bam! I hope this works. I spent like an hour on it!
Also, remember that 2 instances of MySQL cannot run at the same time. If you setup an instance, I don't remember if that runs constantly or not. If the MySQL.bat file in here doesn't work, then there's probably another one running. Open mysql_stop.bat, then try MySQL.bat.
Oh yeah, link is
I just erased all of my info, then unzipped it all and it ran just fine. I did notice when I logged in for the first time in San d'Oria, there were no NPC's. But I zoned out to Western Ronfaure and they were all there. I also had to set mXI to run as Administrator in Properties -> Compatibility Tab.

FINAL VERSION OF mXI! This one functions 100% like the Windower v3.42. Glad that's over it. All I did was copy over windower files. Every version I've downloaded of mXI9.0RC1 did not work running in Windower mode. The plugins were crashing it, and even then, when you left the windower, it would crash.
Just be sure to change the info in Client.ini, where it says "USERNAME" and "PASSWORD" if you want to login automatically. If not, then don't worry about it
Also all of the plugins work with this version.

The windower feature is only with v mXI0.9.0RC1. If you don't need the windower you can run v mXI0.7.1, or edit the Client.ini file with notepad. There are some basic instructions inside the file, I will underline these. And you have to move that file, if you move the mXI.exe file. If you're having trouble, try changing FFXI Config to start in Windowed Mode.
[SERVER]
SERVIP = 127.0.0.1
AUTOLOGIN = 1
USERNAME = <username>
PASSWORD = <password>
[CLIENT]
LANGUAGE = 1
## VERSION can be NA,EU or JP. This needs to reflect the POL version you have.
VERSION = NA
## MODE 0 = no windower, 1 = normal windower, 2 = windower light
WINDOWERMODE = 1
X_RES = 800
Y_RES = 600
I'm also going to upload some scripts you can add to mXI script folder to load up zones (This only works if you run mXI in Normal Windower Mode.) i.e. option 1
/console <zonename>
If you don't know how to spell the zone name, you can enter
/console zones
and it will display a list of all zone names exactly how they need to be spelled.
i also scripted it to add all spells (if you load these, there's around 600 spells, so @1.5sec wait for each, it'll take about 15 minutes to load them all. If you type in a single command or have outstanding lag, it'll cause an error, so it's best just to leave the game alone while they're loading. So go grab a beer! Cheers!
/console spells
i also scripted it to add all skills
/console skills
Just copy these files to your scripts folder. (not for pXI, for meteorXI-0.9.0RC1)

If you find any errors, you can keep them. If there's errors in the zone names, they should still work because I used the same file to make the list as I did the scripts, I just used my 1337 document design skillz.

Codiddle, send me an email at , keep me updated. I've been shadowing the forums for a while, glad to see somebody else taking initiative. I have some files you may be interested (ffxiboot, MeteorXI's undeveloped predecessor). I've been working off off what's been left on Freenet and here. I need some help finding out modIDs for equipment (I'd like to get Refresh, Regen, Enmity, and so on working) let me know. It's a hassle trying to figure out what IDs are which (I've been toggling things on armor and checking what stats change in the meantime, making a list out of that). I also am working on a modelID list which I can hopefully release soon.

Windower?
There's nothing different with the windower you uploaded. It's still MXI 0.9.0RC1
only the init.ini is different. (excellent work btw on it)
Running it as an administrator did nothing. ???
it only continues to work when in light windowed mode I.E. windowed mode 2
/small rant
Please leave the original version visible, it's a pain in my @## to find stuff that isn't any different than what Is already out there.
I.E. spira scripts, pxi and mxi as well as Mini_ server 11
/end small rant
I applaud your work on successfully building pxi 0.6.5 and your scripts
You figured out where to put the 0.6.5 caps, and that was bugging me to death!
I cannot wait to see how you successfully built it and with which version of Visual basic or otherwise
Beat me to publishing the portable mini_server 11 for mysql,
although yours has all sorts of errors?
I like the ASCII, I think I'm going to modify mine to do something similar. ???
Maybe a PXI like logo or something
I'm beginning to see that giving people the mini_server 11 (or later) will be a major step forward for any beginners, and provides a stable setup.
sadly all the sqlyog portables I found were not enterprise /grrr
seeing as everyone is now moving past the problems with the Transports, effects, and spells
we need to start work again on 0.6.5
Me personally I see lots of problems with 0.6.5 as a base ATM
and am personally going to be working more on 0.6.4 as a base
I was just going to take the useful changes and inject them into 0.6.4
namely:
Auction house
Monsters that now use skills and abilities
Effects
Traits
stability fixes
etc etc.

Re:
I also replaced the Hook.dll file which made it run in Windower Mode AKA option 1, without crashing on my computer (when plugins were disabled). Then I replaced all of the plugins with new ones because once I changed out the .dll file it still was crashing when they were loaded. Since I replaced them, I haven't had 1 mXI crash. There isn't any difference if you run it any other way than in Windower Mode 1. I was concerned about that just because I couldn't make use of the use of the windower scripts. It would crash every single time I clicked away from it, it also would only load 2 plugins, and the console wasn't working at all. The plugins can be somewhat helpful too. I used Visual Basic C++ Express 2008 just because I had a walkthrough on how-to do it. I posted the walkthrough I quoted from User:Mana from the official pxi-wiki on page 16. Yeah, the scripts I put in the version I uploaded are unclear, it's probably the Spira ones just because there is a tortoisesvn red X on them. I don't know what the scripts2 folder had in it. I think I tried to combine r2177 w/ Spira and eventually gave up because I would've had to compare 11,000 files and I don't have that kind of time. I meant to delete scripts2 folder prior to uploading it, but I was getting trigger happy, it was the first time I'd tried to upload anything. I accidently included 2 of the same file of ffxiupdate.bat in my first post, I may go delete that post and redo it, with the Windower that I added the newer plugins to. I've also been scripting each piece of gear into the windower so it can be summoned with a name rather than a decimal. I've got most of the best gear available to the 75 cap. I believe the build I compiled came from 0.6.5, but when you load it, it says "0.6.3 <modified>." I dunno why, I didn't make it say that. I will try again later and see what happens. I was hoping you'd post your database Tom! I barely even know how part of this thing works. I'm trying to disect it and figure it all out. I'm hoping to learn to lua script but it's much more difficult than it looks.

ok that makes sense I'll try that.
I'm running visual basic 2010 so I probably have to go back to 2008 for it to work.
ok so it will only accept 2 plugins at a time
hmmm
add a without plugins ver and a with ver that works
11,000!!! lol yeah can't blame you for that.
for my DB I'm working on it now, have a few more ideas.
It seems PXI is always 1 behind the actual release? same as 0.6.4
Update:
It's in get it while it's HOT!

I've got the download fine. It's 125MB in size, so that may impact your connection/download speed (timing out on dl maybe?).
Anyway, as far as original copies go, I have the following:
Tom's Repacks/Updates
Codiddle's Repacks/Updates
PXI 6.4
PXI 6.2
MeteorXI 9.0RC1 Original
MeteorXI 0.8.5 Original
MeteorXI 0.7.1 Original
FFXI Boot ('POL Bypass' Source Code)
Also, for various purposes, I also have the latest AltanaViewer, Fraps, and FFXICalculator on my computer if you'd like those programs but are too lazy to get them elsewhere, lol. I'm looking into making a non-console prettied up GUI for servers using the C++ source I have for the bypass. Unfortunately, C++ isn't my native language, and not knowing exactly how to thread a console app into a GUI isn't my best skill (Qt is simple, but still manages to confuse me somehow). I can't promise anything immediately/soon, but do know it's in the works.
Also, something that we should look into implementing to make a more stabilized 'beta' of the pservers:
* Need to add hand-to-hand / off-hand attacks. Currently the combat system only supports main-handed attacks.
* Reference lists for item values, modelID values (@costume > convert to decimal, but @costume is a bit bugged so may not always be accurate), modID values (Magic Atk. Bonus is either glitched, or is not modID 28 as used in the DB), and so on.
PXI files have been uploaded to Freenet. You need to install Freenet then use this key to access the page:
USK@tNFYL0I4p2moENv5ZbUXaCWH9AfrY27C~Pidy2acLXc,Qs u5jMDh681W4pjRXJKg3ymnFEedYOrORAfim8a7Y2Q,AQACAAE/ProjectXI/3
The irc can be found at irc://irc.projectxi.org/pXI but they are mostly AFK.
