Use the POS to save a location:
1. Enter or choose a Region from the first dropdown. You can also type in any other name here that may help label the set of waypoint you are about to save (ie. Corsair Quest)
2. Enter in a name for the waypoint in the second dropdown menu. Its best to make a naming scheme so you can easily identify if the waypoint goes to a zonline, or just a point of interest in the zone. I use the format:
LaTheine Plateau > West Ronfaure (for zonelines)
LaTheine Plateau @ Ram Area (for points of interest)
3. Stand in the location you want to save and click the topmost Save button. It will ask you if you want to save the location. Click Yes. You can now use the topmost Go To button to go to your target. I almost always set my Move Power to 20, and click Up a few times, before quickly clicking Go To. This way im sure no obsticles are in my way.
4. The Resave button is used to change the location for the selected point. Click it and the point you have selected will be resaved with your current coordinates.
5. The Save0-Save5 and GoTo0-GoTo-5 buttons are temp save buttons. You can click Save0-Save5 to save your location to that slot. Then click GoTo0-5 to return to those points. These points are cleared if you quit POS.
6. You will also notice that as you save or go to points, their coordinates are listed in the Log window. You can easily copy the coordinates from there to share the locations with other people.
All points (exept the temp save buttons) are stored in the POS.dat file located in the same directory as POS. The changes you make in POS are saved only AFTER CLOSING the program. So if you are using a text editor to copy/paste points, make sure POS is not open, or when you close it, all your changes will be overwritten.
