Requirements: 1 power-leveler (mage) and 1 'power-leveler' puller (suggest mage for support curing)
(I suggest a 40+ rdm for refresh)
Key: PL'er = power-leveler / PL'ed = power-leveled (puller = power-level puller)
Technique: (Works with PL'ing a pt or an individual)
1) Find good camp for mobs to be killed.
2) One PL'er sits with the party and does the PL thing keeping them alive.
3) Have the highest level person in the party (or the individual) check lizzies and gobbies/quadivs to get an idea of the level range of what they need to kill. Tough to Incredibly tough if they can kill fast enough.
4) (here's the secret part) The puller will attack one lizzie to train/link other lizzies and the super special part is the puller will rest or heal (push H) infront of the aggro mobs such as gobbies/quadivs (even if they check too weak) they will aggro and then link to to other aggro'ed ones. Doing this you don't touch the mobs and spoil the PL'eds exp. (Only thing you attack is one lizzie I call the puller lizzie which you leave alive the whole time to pull more lizzies once the pt needs more mobs to kill.)
5) Puller runs back to the camp with 3-6 mobs at a time or so.
6) Transfer hate from the puller to the PL-healer - Healer casts cure III at least to gain the hate from the pulled mobs so the puller can go get more mobs (if the pulls are far or pops are slow) If there is a lot of partys in the area the puller should do long pulls while one person in the pt (the individual) grabs mobs that are close by.
7) MAKE SURE the PL'ed NEVER cast ANYTHING to help the PL'ers (ie cureing the pl'ers) other wise you might have a dead party if they get ANY hate. As well, make SURE the pt knows to only target one mob at a time, other wise they might get killed too fast for the PL'ers to keep them alive. Orginization and understanding of what needs to be done is important (or what needs to not be done).
8) If mobs pop around camp or walk into camp that link/aggro they also have a higher chance of linking/aggroing to the PL'ers cause all the mobs the pl'ers have aggroed to them. (So this pl method is safer than the tradishional one as long as the party does not attack 2 mobs at once or cures the pl'ers)
9) Worse comes to worse, have the party call for /help and the 2 PL'ers banishga II or some AOE and get all the hate/aggro from all the mobs and kills them all and re-evaluate where the problem happened.
A tip to keep in mind, have the party check every mob before they kill/pull it off the PL'ers so they don't get something too tough and takes too long for the pt to kill or they get something too weak and kill the chain exp or its just slow. With this method, the pl'ers can keep 1 gobbie and one lizzie or so aggroed on them for the next pull.
I've gotten parties and individuals about 1 level every 10-20 minutes (if they kill fast enough every 10 minutes) due to there being NO down time for resting for MP of the party and more importantly no down time from the pulls (you have mobs lined up to be killed for exp). I've noticed pt's do great being pl'ed cause no resting down time but they still have to wait for puller. This way they arn't waiting for anything but to kill the next mob faster. So, with this method, parties/individuals can get about 6-8 levels an hour if everything is done correctly! Just keep the party safe by holding aggro from spawned mobs and be ready to kill all the mobs if something happens to go wrong, cause when it does go wrong it goes wrong FAST but I feel it is worth it cause of how fast they level. When I was still developing this method pt's died cause they liked to attack 2 at once and didn't call for /help so they died but even then they didn't mind one bit cause of how fast they were leveling and getting the lost exp back. Once they knew what to do it went perfectly though.
