Claiming is who attacks the mob first. If your not the first person to attack or cast on the mob then you dont get the claim, someone beat you to it. If you are the first person to attack or cast on the mob, then you have the claim. Only one person can get a claim on the mob at one time. So the fastest person for an attack or spell or job ability to land on the mob, then you got the claim and if you kill the mob you get the loot. If you dont get the claim, you cant attack the mob and therefor cannot get the loot. But you gotta kill the mob to get the loot, if you die, someone else can attack the mob and get the claim. Ive run this bot for over 30 hours now and I have my setting perfect. Its a nice bot and thanks for putting it up. I tested my setting on the spook, which spawns 2-3 times an hour and i slowly tweaked the setting until I finally found the sweet spot. Took about 24 hours.

Okay how the hell do you set a proper macro for this? Mine is /targetnpc /ja "Provoke" <t> /wait 1 /attack.
I jumped right on top of spook but nothing happens, didn't even target it. Maybe it spawned to close to the tombstone and I targeted that? But it didn't seem like my macro went off at all.

dont use any target macro! mrargus will target for you!

Well Ive found out that the NM has to spawn once in the zone before it will actually start to run properly. I usually run npc until i see the NM in the list, then start running Mrargus. Its not running right until when you press start in the Mrargus box is says ON then below that the NM's name. Maybe that will help.

Yeah it does that for me... maybe there was something to setup I missed? I just DLed file and used it. I can warp around and all but no auto-target.

One thing missing from this guide is how to adjust a specific .wav sound to the claim. As you know every time MrArgus operates, your system speaker makes a "beep" sound. Now if you look at the Mr.ArgusGUI.ini file, there's a line for wav sound, any way to make use of this? would be nice to have mr argus make a huge noise while camping something while u sleep or something, so when it claims you'd wake up  it would be great

OK check this out, only one person/party can kill a monster. Once you have "Claimed" it, no one else can take it from you. To "Claim" it you must attack it in someway. Then it is yours/claimed. claim bots attack it uber fast for you, faster than a human can react.

If you'll notice, the Mr.Argus sound is set to "alarm.wav" which corresponds to window's alarm.wav.
In order to change mr.argus' sounds, you can do one of 2 things.
1. change the alarm.wav sound in the control panel to something you want.
2. change the sound file in the mrargus.ini (or w/e its called) to something that corresponds to the list in control panel > sound menu

when i use npc and press start the list just runs forever and wont stop and in all chars i cant read then i hit stop and it gets clear anyone know whats wrong?

Same thing happens to me, Can't seem to fix the problem, i'd like to know, is this ordinary thing it has to go through? When i run search on NPC, the list goes forever... :|

i actually had to have a friend of mine send me the correct version of the program, it seems that this version on the forums is either outdated or buggy. im not sure, but the version my friend sent me actually works perfectly.

Would be awsome if someone who knows c++ better then ido who can advance 'mrargus claimbots shellcode or make a stand alone mrargus application' with a calling sound when the NM pop!

:cry: When ever i start up FFXI and get to Mee Deggi the Punisher and start using Mrargus it shuts down my Playonline and says a error occoured.... id ont know what to do i need some help ><. I have Windower 3.22
