I got banned because I made the mistake of upgrading a base either right after someone attacked it, or within a week or two of an attack. Whoever originally attacked the base, came back, saw changes other than layout redesign and reported me. That is the number way to get banned, because Kixeye will investigate it, especially if they took a recon (i.e. photo of your base) the first time and then compared it to your new design.
Number #1 Advice is to never upgrade your BluePrints lab to level 10.
Number #2 Advice is slowly introduce new ships 1 at a time. Consider for example, building a lightweight Goliath takes 10 days to build and 39,000 of each resource. So your minimum introduction would be to Introduce one every ten days, and only if you have publicly attacked dracs and bases adding up to at least half of the 39,000 each resource.
Number #3 Advice is to talk openly on the coms about coining in general, but not all the time. When players talk all the time about coining things and have new fleets, stronger fleets, stronger bases, etc. It's an alarm to those of us who know the ropes, that your a cheater instead of a coiner.
Number #4 Advice is buy some coins. I used to split my cheat use in half with real coining. I used to coin a few instant ship upgrades after doing a certain number of cheat upgrades. I also used to keep at least ONE coin in my base at all times.
Number #5 Advice is don't be a jack-ass. Many of us, have been in the game from the first month when it started, and we have seen it all and heard it all and have become extremely proficient at recognizing cheat users, even if you swear on anything that your using coins. I can smell and spot a cheat user "in-game" within a day or two of your arrival. And if your a jack-ass, we are probably video taping your base and taking recon pictures till we have proof to get you banned. (That is just the reality, nothing against a smart cheater, but everything against a smart-ass cheater who is an asshole to everyone in the sector and on the coms.) There is nothing worse than a cheater who is an cocky smart-ass on the coms and insector who bullies people and disrespect. So if that is you, don't visit my sector, cause I'll get yah.
