grant all privileges on *.* to 'username' @ 'ipaddress' identified by 'password';

This will give whatever person you put in full database access to do anything but add other people. They could potentially drop your whole database if they wanted to. So you should use a nice GUI like navicat and remove what you don't want them to have access to. On the other side, you could do:

and then add only what you want them to have access to. The first option is usually easier.

i did this and it says when i added the user name and pass and give them to my friend,it said that he can't connect or something like that

Make sure any firewalls or routers are configured to let inbound connections from his IP and port 3306 is open as well.

i did that,now it says access is denied for.....,in the HostName/Ip Address,what i have to put in it and in Connection name

Connection name can be anything. For hostname/ipaddress most people just put in the IP of the person you are trying to let connect. Have them go to a site like

and have them send you the IP. Then go to his user and change the ip that is there.

it says invalid username or password when i try to login. Im sure everything is set to root and test, what do i do?

root.test is for your database. They are not login credentials to login to the game. You must add an account to your database to login to the game or use one that has already been created.

if ur db is the Mannequin db,then ur game account login id is dark and pass is explorer

Hey, two things, when i try to epen msg server or npc.exe, the open and say unable to connect to database, then close. and the time it actually did work, my server when i tried to login, said it was down. any help?
