[Mod Tools] KOM Extractor/Kompactor Tutorial

Extractor:
1.1: We start the KOM Extractor there you see this
1.2: And we type the KOM File name in example: data048ori ("notice!: without the .kom")
1.3: It should look like this now:

2: Then press enter and it will extract and will be moved into the folder named as the filename from the kom.

Kompactor:
1.1: We start the Kompact.bat and we will put in the folders name where you extracted your KOM it should look like this:

1.2: Then it asks for the new KOM File name. Its your choice what you put in. I wrote this in:

1.3: Then it replaces the old data048ori.kom to an new data048ori.kom

Yup hab vergessen die python source zu erwähnen :3

why do we need it? you can't edit lua.

Ja aber für leute die nicht so gut damit auskommen und die die zu faul sind werden wohl das hier bestimmt kapieren

If you can read its only for KOM & NOT for LUA...

Venipa , is edited moons , for example, " socketitems " or tittletable with moonloader , and put us here for the full file because we could replace with your Kom Extractor .

This are the instruction for old extractor i think is equal :"D

INSTRUCTION

1. Download and install python
download link:
( Warning: Python ver 3.X.X may causes syntax error. Use the above version.

2. Make a working directory and copy komextract_new.py and kompact_new.py onto it.

3. Copy a kom file to be modified onto the directory.

4. Open a command prompt window and cd (change directory) to the directory.

5. Extract kom.
C:> komextract_new.py --in data068.kom --out data068
( Here, I assume to extract data068.kom onto a directory named data068. )

If it does not work, execute python.exe directly.
C:> c:\python27\python.exe komextract_new.py --in data068.kom --out data068
( Here, I assume that python is installed under c:\python27 . )


6. Modify files but do not touch *.___ files. ( They are encrypted files. )

7. Pact files to make a new kom file.
c:> kompact_new.py --in data068 --out data068.kom

If it does not work, execute python.exe directly.
C:> c:\python27\python.exe kompact_new.py --in data068 --out data068.kom

8. Launch the Elsword patcher and download new patch files.
When downloading is finished, replace the original kom files with the modified
ones, push the start button, and enjoy the game.
