well, from what I had tested, I took my low lvl mage to draco and i could attack mobs until they were almost dead, and then I would DC. Maybe they've updated it since then?

You can atack mobs, but when you would gain experience, the server checks this and, if it's too high for your actual level, it automatically dc's you.
because Acclaim is dumb. Why dont they make it so that you dont only DC, but you get banned as well? lol, epic fail @ Acclaim
And from what I've seen, it's not that you DC when you attack the mob. You DC right before you kill it, blocking you from getting the XP
Wow people still think acclaim dhas power in this game? Acclaim has nothing to do with this, they have had nothing to do with the actual game itself since the merge. All they deal with is the money on their accounts.
On Topic: It doesn't DC me till I kill a mob, I dont get the exp, I don't even get to see the mob die, just insta DC once it hits 0 hp.
Yes, cose then the server checks the exp that mob would give to you right before the exp is given, so you only get it if its a "legit" experience.
No it couldn't be checking exp since that simply wouldn't work, cause you can get more exp from DF's and dungeons. So things you can access at your own level.
Yes, they also took this into account when doing that dc'er. They count that you can go to kill higher level mobs, they just edited it the way for now you can only kill mobs that legit players can kill. Ah, I hate my enlgish level and that I can't explain what I really want to explain, so sry bottomy if u dont understand me.

Your english is pretty good, and i think i get what you're saying. Just it doesn't seem (to me anyways) that they would be basing the check off of the mobs exp. Cause for one i think elaiden in crespo (or whatever the highest level mob there is), gives more exp then the lowest level mob in draco. So how would they work that out?
To me i think they use map index to call the right function, so they could only compare your level with the requirement to kill that certain mobs. Or if they worked it out properly they could have it so the call does the filtering too, so something like [offset + map index * your level] (or i don't know exactly, though they would also need add something to do with the mob in there too), but something so if it does workout it would then call the normal function otherwise it would then call the dc function.

Mm lets see it this way for Eliaden.
Ok, a level 54 somehow enters crespo, and kills one of this, he will be insta dc'ed by this new update. I think that not all mobs are edited the same way, for example, eliadens are edited for his experience be compared to level 55. And draco mobs are made to be compared to level 65. I dont know if you take what i want to mean, but this is not an absolute program that takes all mobs in the same group, but taking them by separate depending on maps, imo.
Monster Level Check 04/20/2010 - Dekaron - 4 Replies So, does anyone know if you still dc killing mobs above your level?
Mentor level hack (bypassing 10+ level check) 08/14/2009 - Eudemons Online - 5 Replies Well, we were messing around with my mentor and that ended up a bit sad. She thought she will scare me a bit and kicked from apprentices. Instead of that she screwed herself cause now I cannot add her back (I am level 129, almost 130, she is 133).
So, I have 2 questions, starting from more serious one:
1. Is level difference check server or client sided?
2. If it is client sided, can anyone give me a tip how I can get my mentor back, cause now I think she is crying in cushion (I was giving...
