I was looking into how to find a way around the DC on higher level maps thing, and I was wondering if anybody has found out if it DC's because of mob levels, or because of the maps level.
I don't have a level 80-84 character, but if anyone does, please go to Python and pull some mobs from inner python castle into the normal area (level 80 area) and kill them. PM me with results.
I'm really interested to see what happens with that, because if it checks mob levels, then it will DC. If it checks map level, then you won't DC since inner python isn't technically a new map, and it has the same level requirements as the rest of Python.
So, if it does check mob levels, then it must compare your level with mob levels, plus or minus some number...and if it checks map level minimum, then we should be able to find a way to edit that so that it doesn't check, or just change the minimum to 1...
Anybody who has a character level 80, 81, 82, 83, or 84, please try this and PM me the results!
as far as i know if your lvl is 54 and you go crespo and hit a mob you get dc right away, so try looking at the map info or monster info and see what different, i when to Norak Cave 2F with lvl 1 noob mage and kill a Horace (70) and no dc, so i think there is something related to the map level 55 and up that we should all take a look at and solve it =) here other test i take my noob mage to Requies Beach kill Asron (38) and any mob level 38 under it find but when i try lure Giant Bee (84) to the lower level mob area and hit it i get dc , hope my info will help you solve the mob dc problem =)
They probably worked real hard to edit for every monster their specified attacker's level. (Carbon 80+, Oread 95+, etc.) Norak is an exception because that map allows lowbies to be there, even a level 1.
It compares with mob levels.
I went into draco with a level 50 mage, stood there for a few secs.
then attacked some mobs, boom dc after 2 secs.
you can stand on whatever map you want for as long as you like. It only compares something when you kill a mob.

I have tried this before too. The reason why I wanted to try Python is because upper requise is a different map than lower requise (look at maplist.csv). Inner Python castle is not a map, it's all just Python.
Yesterday I was lvl 80 and I killed some Mobs in inner Python and I don't get any dc. So I think you get dc because of the exp. If it is to high for your lvl you get dc. And with lvl 80 you get nearly the same exp in inner python like in normal python.
I think it must compare map level, then. One of my friends is loaning me his account so I can work on this, but if you didn't dc, then I'm failrly sure it's map level.
hmm this got me thinking bout leviathans lvl hack , though its just virtual and it dont have so much of an effect it got me wondering if changing ur lvl with the hack to 140 but ur real lvl is 92 and you go to ruins and attack some mobs maybe u wont get dc :O

if by code, you mean assembly, I know how to do that too, I just can't find anything that relates to this crash problem. Just have him shoot me a PM or something, I would like to learn xD
