[PETITION] Adding a Ban Penalty

make the No Question bigger so when an unsuspecting noob ventures into the wrong place and asks a questions, i have every right to carry a flamethrower and summon a charizard to flame the **** out of him

give noobs a chance kids... no body born to be pro. i believe u r once nub b4. or maybe u r still being a nub. just tat u dunoo or u r acting pro. and by banning them dun make mods job easier... i think they need to make some comments or reports why they are banned.. i think most of the new members didnt know where to ask questions... because the instructions is not clear. the instructions header for the section is not acttrctive enough so they didnt see it. and that's no links between the release section and questioning section. i suggest shld insert 1 link and make the link colourful. so they will know where to go...
press tys if u guys think tat i m right.. ^^

"Short form" would take longer to type than actual proper English. i cud try 2 tahlk lyke dis, but that took me twice as long, and it sounds...well, to be blunt, ******* stupid.
I understand though, something probably is wrong with your education system. I wont insult the fact that you couldn't manage to write a coherent sentence to save your life. :]

(See, this is why I would love the petition to get passed... Less people like the above.)

Speaking as a noob - here's the problem:

Someone posts a release.
Someone like me googling for it finds it.
We have a quick question, see the No Questions tag, along with a ton of questions.

Being new, we ask in the section where it's most likely that the releaser, or someone else at least interested in the release, is likely to see it and respond.

We know it's "against the rules" but don't really care because we see everyone else doing it, which means it's an unenforced rule - ie: not a rule at all - and we have no personal investment in the board at that point anyway.

I might be more reluctant to flaunt the rules now.

A little.

I still don't really see the point, I don't see it enforced, and there really isn't any penalty.

I'll try to refrain out of courtesy to the others here - but don't be all hat shocked that someone else may show less restraint.

If you really want to discourage questions, just lock the release posts so that no one can reply, but the author can update it.

Then nobody can post updates if the author is on a haitus, nobody can post critiques, nobody can post "GUYS. THIS **** IS MALWARE. SRSLY." Nobody can post if it's been stolen. Etc, etc, etc.

Good intentions but not logical in practical use.
