Server Problem

See.. The database does exist it is running in the background :S :S

Yes.. Threads are out there.. But no fixes

all post are made cuz they didnt follow the tutorials

Ok after billions of posts on epvp forums this is why you cant start the server

Over and over this question has been asked and no one gets my point. So here is my tutorial why you can connect to the server. Or its not starting the server. Please read this. And pay attention to it.



The error message:





[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.



Ok lets break this down shall we ?

- This problem occurs during the discovery phase of the connection. The IPSec policy on the client drops packets from the server when the source IP changes.





The ultimate fix !!

Please check this list of most common errors

- Is the the mssql server installed ?
- Is it mssql ? And not mysql ?
- Is the mssql server running ?
- Is the mssql password right ?
- Is the mssql username right ?
- did you fill in: /Cast/config.ini ?
- did you fill in: /DekaronServer/config.ini ?
- did you fill in: /Session/config.ini ?
- Did you save the file ?
- Are the db files installed ?
- Are the ip's right ?

See.. Now I have a dedicated server.. 2x Quad Core Xeon's.. 8GB RAM.. 1TB HDD.. I need someone to help me.. Still getting the same **** error.. And yes I have been through that list with a fine toothpick -.-

I had the same problem. SQL wasnt installed properly.
