Effectiveness of fuel protocols

I think there is this myth that buying fuel protocols is a good idea in the 'long run'... It's not (unless you had plans on playing this game in your coffin)

I would post the excel sheet but not sure if it's allowed. If there is popular request for all numbers of gears I will add it on too.
