PvP Fighting Tactics
Hey guys,
due to the fact that I'm a the biggest fighting noob ever, I would like to ask you for some fighting tactis. And yes I know that you'll not give a way the premium tactics but something decent would be nice ! Thank you

I like to fly with 1 fast config, much dmg and low shield(konf. 1) and 1 slow with much dmg and high shield(konf 2)
I put Ring Formation on (2) and wait till it's full.
Then go on (1) and Heart, to have more life.
You can now fly and destroy weak enemies (swap between moth and heart), until a strong one apears. If he shoots you (shield should disapear 1 shot, otherwise he's not strong) you change to Ring formation then on (2).
You can then shoot until you have ~60% shield, then switch on Pincer or whatever you have (no diamond / drill yet)
From this point, if you lose another 30% of your shield, switch to Drill.
You now have still 100% shield (from +160% to -25% now) and deal more dmg than before..
Works pretty good for me, except that there's not a single weak / Flax ship on my server

For no banking users with goliath:
Config 1: full speed(15 speed gens in ship) and full damage (20 lf-4 in drones with havocs)
Config 2: full speed(15 speed gens in ship) and full shield (20 shield gens in drones with hercules)
Always fly with 5% speed drone formation and then attack the enemies with 3% dmg formation(pincer).
Even without boosters you have a decent damage about 65k-80k.
And if somebody attacks you who is stronger than you prepare to have about 20 emps and slow down mines or rockets.
The cheapest and easiest way for pvp without banking.

No just checked a video on youtube, there is no reason to put in any Speed generator.
Going 2x slow should win more likley than 1 fast

Actually a lot of jpa winner use 1fast an 1slow but yes there are some who win with 2 slow.

Okay to all the 400x winners above me, I never really played there, just watched a video as I said.
Then please explain to me (here or pm) why I should use any Speed Generators. Maybe I am missing something, but there is no way 2x slow loses to 1xfast

Ok i will try to explain,in jpa is not only the fight face 2 face,you have also to run to repair you'r ship.Let say you use 2 slow,i use one slow and one fast.I can emp and put a slow mine and run and put my pet to repair my ship and then came back to fight.
If you use 2 slow i have enought time to repair cus u can't run as fast i can.
I hope you understand my english

ok look at it this way. if i have speed, i can insta shield and emp and i can completely dodge your insta and emp. i can also have my pet shoot you and blow up on you because you are too slow. if i mess up, i can run away and fix my mistake. if you have a design, i can run away for 2 minutes or 30 seconds and then use mine to beat you with ease. if you play with double slow, you decrease your chance of winning by so much.

in an all out 1v1, you must be ready to do whatever. you cant set rules for yourself, for example. you cant be like oh i cant run, i must fight him straight up. no? what if he runs. you have to expect everything, therefore you must be able to react and do everything yourself as well.

Here i demonstrate a jpa win with 15 speed generators. as i said, use speed config to your advantage. its not a ***** way of fighting...

If you get into a bad scrape with some monsters and need to bail, target a point in the distance to run to. Then on your action list, click "sit". Now pull up the "Exit Game" menu. Wait on the OK/Cancel screen until your character starts to sit down. While they're in the process of sitting, you're technically not fighting, so hit the "OK" button to log out.
Go play your alt for a while until someone else has killed the monster or it wanders off.

This may have been a fluke (and probably is a repost, but I couldn't find it), but it worked pretty well the 2 times I tried it.
