That's my plan Madatek! Also, I am thinking about making most of things server side, to prevent cheating. Also I wouldn't probably use DO resources so it will stay for longer time with no chance of being sued by BP. I have found these awesome free sprites. What do you think about them?

They are nice, but i think most people would like to play with the original DO sprites.
So i reccomend you to use the free sprites in your game but create also an addon with DO ships, which can replace the free sprites in order to keep the game similar to the original..

Also, for the server side: it could cause lag if host has not a good connection, but maybe I misunderstood

Please finish DO NewGen offline first. All the servers I saw were be taken down by BP.
