IOMMU stands for "Input-Output Memory Management Unit". It's a hardware-based security featuer that protects your PC's RAM to prevent cheats from accessing game memory with the use of DMA cheats.

Its not impossible to still get around this in a way thats basically imperceptible. The work required isnt worth it though as theres easier ways to exfil off the target without the need for a full device in the pci lane.
