Recently Valve announced that the popular replay-editor from the latest tf2-beta, now will be released for css. The new editor is in-game based, and contains alot of exciting features, making a editors life much easier.
The editor gives you the opportunity to record AND edit footage while in-game. It works just like an STV-demo, only this editor is much more user friendly. This means that when you have recorded a replay, you can open it and view the game from every players perspective, just like in the STV-demo. You may also fly around the maps using "freemode". In addition you can easily replace the mouse-movement with simple keybinds.
Making things easier was obviously in Valve's mind when making this editor. The in-built features gives editors access to common tools, such as "smoothing", changing the Point of View and even the recording-part. When it comes to recording, the editor lets you choose whether you want to save the clip as a .mov file, straight out of the game. You may also share it directly to youtube. In addition you can easily export .tga files, and even the .wav files.
Looking at all the cool features such as smoothness, POV and camera speed, the editor has a huge problem. It doesn't let you change the framerate, which means that you will no longer be able to get smooth slow-motion without using frame-interlacing. Thats why most editors most likely will stick to the classic STV- or POV-demo when recording.
Für die deutsche Übersetzung, habe ich keine Zeit - Google Übersetzer sollte aber reichen. Viel Spaß mit dem Update
