Talking Modifying Monsters Data, Size, Health, Level, very useful thread.
Ok, I worked on this ALL day long in wordpad...... a tutorial on modifing monsters. Very useful yes! Here it is......

MODIFYING MONSTERS!!!!!
___________________________
by Necron

(FIRST OFF!!!! These modifications are NOT serverside!!!!!!!! Yet they ARE very helpful!!!!!!!)

Alrighty, time to make a big tutorial to help people in modifing monsters! Ok, first thing to do, is download Hex Workshop 4.23 from . After that, right click

the monster.dat file, and click Hex edit with hex workshop. Then look at all the words you see there, the symbols. It would say something like K.......Pheasant...>....!......
Now you'd THINK that all you have to do is change that like you'd change it if it was in notepad, but you don't.
Take a look at the Raw hex viewing part (See picture 1)
Now to save you time, I have copyed some data code for you by order of sections...........

Part 2: Comparing and defining
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, now even though the ini files do squat in editting anymore, the abit less important ini files act as references..........
Open up Monster.ini
Scroll down to the pheasant section, now we are going to start with pheasants,
Now compare this........

[Pheasant]
SizeAdd=0
ZoomPercent=60
MaxLife=33
Level=1

to this....

(Pheasant, not in the hex code though, the name is in hex, and not the hex i just posted) 0000 0000 3C00 0000 2100 0000 0100 0000 0A00 0000

Do you see any simularities?.....................

Of course you don't! Noone would possibly, unless of course they knew Hex by heart............And thats why we have the hex calculations window!!!!

Look at the first part of the pheasants readable info......it would be SizeAdd=0, but that wouldnt be noticable, because it equals zero, then in the hex it would also be 00, and

the hex value 00 im guessing is used for placeholders and stuff.........so the next thing you'd see is...........

ZoomPercent=60

now in look at the hex code again, in the editor

0000 0000 3C00 0000 2100 0000 0100 0000 0A00 0000 is what the code says. The translation says ....<...!........... after pheasant that is........

Ok, now click your cursor right in front of 3C00 which in the translation window, is <, and look at Picture2.......

Now, you could compare the value 60, in hex editor. And now look at the ini file also, it says, Zoompercent=60, coincedence? Nope! This says that if you want to change the

size of a monster, than this is the value to change. Now changing stuff in hex is harder than normal, but this will be covered soon.
Now anyway, compare your translation value, which is this, >
Now heres what I first noticed when I tryed hex editting..........count the spaces in between each monster........there are exactly 20 in every single one! If you do not have

twenty in between each monster, the program WILL crash on loading.
Now, since we know that the > slash 3C is the value for size, lets compare it with others.......what do you notice in all of them?........
You should notice that they are all in the 5th place away from the monster name, see picture3........
Now this should tell you that no matter which monster your editting, the size will be the 5th or 4th place from the name, depending on how you count it.... (BUT DONT JUMP

AHEAD AND HACK, UNTIL YOU READ THE HEXING SECTION!!!!!! VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!)

Now anyway lets look for the value for Maxlife=33.............using the same method as above, you can do that yourself, so I'll just save time and say the answer this time.....
The value for Maxlife of pheasant equalling 33 is 21 or in the translation, a exclaimation mark............you can find that out by clicking before it remember, and if the number

down in the value bar matches to the value in the ini, you know you've found it. And the maxlife value place in all the monsters, is 9 places or 8 places from the name

depending how you count it. And finally....
Level=1 is value 01 in hex, and . in the translation. And the place in every monster for levels is....the 12th place or 11th place from the name depending how you count it.

REMEMBER NOT TO HACK IT UNTIL YOU'VE READ THE HACKING SECTION!!!!

Ok then, so now that we've got the places and values down...........Its time to...................

------------------------------------------------------
HACK IT!!! (The hacking section)
------------------------------------------------------

Ok, so what do we know so far?
We know what the basic editor windows are, Raw Hex, Translation, and calculations.
We know to look at the calculations to see what the hex equals
We know that without exactly 20 translated characters in between each monster, the game crashes before even logging in.
We know that 00 in the raw hex window, is used as a placeholder.
We know that the 5th or 4th place from the name is the size value
We know that the 9th or 8th place from the name is the maxlife value
We know that the 12th or 11th place from the name is the level value
We know that Necron had WAYYYYYY to much free time today.................

Anyway, time to wrap this up with the *yawn* Im tired...........Hacking Section!!!!

Ok, first thing to know about hex, is that the data in the Raw hex window is basically all that really matters.........sure, sometimes you can just change the letters and

stuff...but most of the times for big stuff, that doesnt work so well..................
Because all the translation data is, is the hex values translated, hex is different from letters............Dont get it very good.............Heres a example............

Copy the monster.dat file, and paste it somewhere besides in your conquer folder....

Now look at the first monster, the pheasant, in the translation window, it looks like this........

Pheasant....<...!...........

and in Raw hex it looks like this.

5068 6561 7361 6E74 0000 0000 3C00 0000 2100 0000 0100 0000 0A00 0000

Now by common sense, we should know that the first 16 digits in raw hex for that monster is the monsters name. (For some reason, it doesnt work to change it though.)

Now we see and know that < means 3C which means the value for size, this is one of the cases in which you can change it directly from the translation window. Because

the hex means the same as the letter, which means that < equals 3C. However, lets take another case.............
Back to the code translation, we see little dots......in hex, their values are mostly 00
....<...!...........

But now try deleting one of those periods, and putting it back in by pressing the period key. Notice that the period does not have the value of 00, it has the value of 2E, which

means in order to put that placeholder back for real, is to delete the 2E in the raw hex window, and press 0. You'll notice that the hex will read 00, and the period will look

the exact same. This is why you should always change stuff in hex, because there are characters that all look the same, but have different values. Oh yeah and one more thing, when swapping stats of monsters with other monsters, be sure to switch BOTH the stats around, cause I THINK, It crashes if you dont. (Also, swapping doesnt work with some monsters, I dont know why exactly.....)
That being said, from all I've tought, you should be ready to hack monsters!!! But if your not quite ready, please ask me for help, PM, or post. I may have forgotten

something..........

YOU ARE NOW READY TO HACK THE MONSTERS!!!!!!!!! READ AHEAD IF YOU CHOOSE TO SEE WHAT I HAVE DONE WITH THIS CODE!!!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Necron's Results.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

So you are now ready to hack, but you have chosen to see what I've done with this. Thanks!!!!!! I really appreciate the fact that you are reading this far and havent fallen

asleep yet. Uhhhh...........you aren't sleeping at your keyboard are you? ^ ^

Anyway, afew stuff I've done with this code.................................

Half-Health Pheasant, and abit bigger too See picture 4
I replaced the size and health and level of thunderape with a pheasant, and pheasant with a thunderape. It made the pheasants a little bigger and the thunderapes a little smaller, and it sliced the pheasants healths in half!!!!

Invisible Pheasants, and unattackable! See picture 5
Not helpful at all, but its fun to watch little invincible shadows named pheasants chasing you around. I replaced all the stats with 0000 0000 0000 0000 etc etc

SuperHugeOmnipresent Pheasants!!!! AKA, "No targeting anymore!!!" See pic 6
Now this is a very very useful hack, though I havent tryed it on any monsters besides pheasants......
Anyway, what I did was change this.......
0000 0000 3C00 0000 2100 0000 0100 0000 0A00 0000 which 3C equalled 60 or something, and thats the size
to this.......
0000 0000 3C70 0000 2100 0000 0100 0000 0A00 0000 which 3C70 equalled 28732, and thats the size.

Ok, this will make the pheasants impossible to see, because they are so big, BUT!!! Because they are so big, you can target them with magic by clicking anywhere, and the magic will target whichever ones closest........

Two side effects to this though...........

1. It will be hard to move around because no matter where you click, your clicking on a monster you cant even see, and you start running towards it, which is why this hack should just be used for lving a character, not if your intenting to go somewhere............if someone can fix that, uh...........they get a cookie!

And 2. Ummmm..........I kinda forget, but I think it had something to do with Xp attacks not working on them....................

I have this modified file up for download. Save it into your ini folder. And dont worry, its not a virus! I would never post a virus. But just incase, scan it, just incase a virus got on there.....

Good luck with your new knowledge and uh.........................Dont get Caught!!!!!!

All this info IS NOT MINE,

I have simply found a CO hacking explained in the very best wy possible..all this is made by the person bexta! I just want this info to be on top of page of conquer forum for the people who missed it! bexta, if you are reading this and you want to re-post rather then me, i will delete this thread.

By bexta.

First up, I am here to explain to you all why ConquerOnline can and will not be hacked though ini and dat files. It is simply impossible and here?s how!

I have laid this out in a kind of FAQ sort of way.

Q1. OMG UNLIM HEALTH ? EDIT USERDAT INI!!1!!1111!

A1. Not going to happen. Think ? when you edit the files on your computer, are everybody else?s going to be edited? Is the server going to recognize your fake files in the CO folder? Hell no! Things you change on YOUR computer will NOT change on other people?s! If you get people?s ?Unlimited Health? ini trick to work, you will see your health heal fully on your computer ? though if you get down to 1hp and do it, a noob could hit a 1 on you and still kill you (even when you see that your full health).

How is this possible? It?s just like RAM-Cheat. If you don?t know what RAM-Cheat is, it?s a program that edited registry details on your computer. So if you have $140 in NFSU on your computer, you Alt + Tab it and go into RAM-Cheat. You then get RAM-Cheat to search the specified program (NFSU) for the memory address that says $140 and then you can manipulate that number.

This also can happen on Conquer Online! I was very ****ing excited when I tried RAM-Cheat on Conquer lol. Imagine going back into it and finding you have $80,000,000 coins? Yeah that?s right :P.

So I did what any other sane person would do ? I went to market to buy out anything I could find!

Didn?t happen. Basically, all the ram-cheat does is make an image over the top of the money. It looks like you have 80mill, but the 80mill hasn?t been registered on the server, therefore you really have the same amount of money you started with.

Getting back on track: editing INI files will ONLY EVER CHANGE MONEY/HEALTH ETC ON YOUR COMPUTER!

m I confusing you? Good. It?s going to get a lot worse!

Q2. So how does Conquer know if you have deposited X amount of money into your bank?

A1. Packets. As Defined by Dicationary

"The unit of data sent across a network. "Packet" is a

generic term used to describe a unit of data at any layer of

the OSIProtocool Stack, but it is most correctly used to

describe application data units.

Now I don?t even know wtf that means, so I?m going to give it to you straight.

Packets are little bits of information that are sent to and fro when you are on the internet. When you are viewing WebPages, packets are sent and received between the webpage?s server, and your modem! Incredible! When you load up Google, you send anywhere from 1 to 5 packets to Google?s web-host, then Google?s host sends you back all these tiny different packets telling your web-browser what to display.

Now this is totally different to Conquer.

When you?re in conquer, you?ll notice that you can only move in different ?blocks? in the game. You can?t move to different positions if you get me.

In a First Person Shooter the positions on the map you can move to are endless! Now in Conquer its more like you can move to the left, right, front, back and diagonals. In a FPS you can move anywhere. Think of it as a Chess Board.

Anyway lol ? Everytime you move one piece on this Chess Board that is Conquer, approx 5-6 packets are sent/received between the client (you) and the server (conquer) when ever you move to one of these positions.

Lets re-cap!

Your in Conquer at BI and you move one step to the left.

Two packets are sent by you. One of them is a record of where you clicked, and the other packet is the record of the click, and the type of packet to tell the server that it?s a step, not a jump/walk.

Once you have sent these packets, the server sends 1-X back to you. The main packet is that which tells the little character on your screen to move from A to B on the map. Its not really that confusing! Now this happens for every step you take. It also happens on other people?s computer too. So every time someone ELSE takes a step, a packet is sent to you! Now basically this is why the server?s get lag when there are a lot of people online.

A packet can be anywhere from 8bits to 5kb, and 1KB is a big-ass packet! If 5kb packets were being sent to the Conquer servers, it would take a good 10-20mins to log in creating 5-10min delay in picking up items! You pick up the gold and 8mins later it says ?You picked up 430gold!?.

The packet?s for dropping 150 gold on the ground are all 18bytes each.

lol. Glad that?s over with!

Now,

Q3. F*** Me! Tell me how to hack Conquer!

A3. Calm young grasshopper! All will be revealed in time!

To hack Conquer Online you need to edit the Packets being sent from your modem to the server. This can be done with application called ?WPE PRO?.

Q4. Wtf is it, and what does it do?

A4. WPE Pro stands for ?WinPacketEdit Pro? and does exactly that. This outstanding application record?s every single packet being sent /received into your modem. Once it records the packet, you can manipulate it and send them off again.

Ok we?ve learned what a packet is and learned what WPE is.

Now I?ll teach you all how we?re going to get moneh!

Q5. OMGZ HOW DO U GET 999MILL LOLZ/Z.?!>!>!?!?!?!1!1!11AA!!11;

A5. Packet Editing! We log into Conquer, start up WPE Pro and begin recording. Then we drop money, and log out. We stop recording the packets, and look for which one?s show that we?re dropping the money.

Once we have them, we decrypt ?em and then off they go back to the server.

How does this happen? Easy!

Packets are made up of little numbers and letters followed by a thin strip of code.

Eg,

eee,estwanjo,com/packet,jpg
(replace , with . and e with w)

That above is a screenshot of the packet that was sent to me by Conquer when I dropped $100 on the ground.

Once we have the packets of this, we could go around dropping 100 gold whenever we want! But to do this, we have to trick Conquer into believing our fraudulent packets are genuine XD.

Now the only way a server can recognize its own packets is to encrypt them. This is done by replacing the end code of a packet with other letters/numerals. The encrypted code?s letters and numbers are all put in a certain order. So if its line 3 and character 7, the server knows it has to divide that number/letter by the first two numbers before it!

This is how the very first RuneScape packets were encrypted. It looked like it had been done by a 12 yr/o. After a few months people had figured it out and were billionaires. Today RuneScape has one of the world?s online gaming packet encryption out there.

Q6. HOW DO U GET UNNIMLALTED HEALTH AND MAna!!>?!!>!!>?!!?!?!?!!1!1!

A6. You can?t. I have never heard of this being archived in an Online Game (except MU). But hey, nothing?s impossible

And that is why ConquerOnline cannot be hacked though ini and dat files! You need to send fake decrypted packets to Conquer. Pretty basic, but I haven?t found out how to do it yet.

Final thought:

ConquerOnline has quite frankly, crap coding. Try changing the metbird size from 1 to 5 (makes met hunting in metzone VERY easy!). This is the kind of cheating that can be done due to poor coding.

I have been trying to crack the Conquer packets for about a month now and I still haven?t a clue on how to do it.

I have noted that some of this information may be wrong. But that?s ok I?m only 14 and mistakes were made to be learned from. I mainly wrote this to stop people from trying to get their post count up by saying stupid stuff like bigassmuffin. So until you all have something reasonable to say, don?t post. Your opinions are ALWAYS welcome to me anytime. If you have any questions/comments/idea?s or wish to help me develop a trainer (ASM only) for ConquerOnline, drop me an email.

Thanks guys!
