:O very nice. Sparks a few random questions though.
-Why C#?
-Any special frameworks in C#?
-What will this be used for (specific pserver project?)
-I assume it will remain private/closed source?
Fun stuff

Already thought it would be nice to do a custom client. But, I never found anybody really interested by such a big job It looks promising, although doing something like that, I would have directly used C++.
Good luck, and if you need some help (which I doubt if with both of you working on the idea...), just send me a PM.

it's our own client, there's no set goal, and in fact we may chose to do things very differently than TQ (ie packets), the only thing that's guaranteed to remain the same is the interface/ui, and the model/file support

Very cool! I wish you two luck. As mentioned, if you ever need an additional hand, we have your back; though, I don't think you two will need it. It's going to be interesting to see how you two change the client. I do have to ask though, with you two completely recreating the client, is it still in your best interest to recreate the Conquer Online client? At this point, you could actually make your own game, especially if you're going to change the packets and cipher drastically, because that would require an entirely new server as well.
@ Lord, that was already answered. It will remain private.

Changing the packets doesn't require a new server. You still use the exact same logic, but change a few structures inside the project.

Is there going to be a repo for this?
Have to hand it to you Ulti, I normally knock you for the stuff you release as its like, way over hyped usually, but this is pretty impressive.
