I used the MsgServer port, which is 5816.
@EDIT: I was able to create a character successfully, however it takes me back to the character creation screen after the character is already made?

That's a problem with the UIDs. Go and change the UID in MsgServer/Database/Player.cs to something else:
Probably you have created a character, deleted it and created a new one.

Ok, then go and delete all characters and accounts inside the Accounts and Characters folder. Then go and delete all files inside: Weapon Skills, Magics and recopy the original Items.pkg into the Items folder.

The name of the MsgServer (in MsgServer.xml) doesn't match the name used by the client (Server.dat and NAME.svr), so when creating the player, you create it in another server.

Thank you both, I was failing at the simplicity of my mistake.
I just want to ask you(either) another quick question. How come the NPC's coordinates are all uncoordinated upon login? I know I must edit some files to match client-side files, I'm just continuing to refresh my memory on how it's done specifically. Any tips would be awesome. thanks again.
@MasterZ thanks for the video, however it is restricted in my country haha.

Let me ask you what i said in my previous post. Have you any idea on how to properly coordinate the maps so that everything isn't all over the place? Sorry for the many questions I've asked, and thanks for your support.

I have changed the coordinates of every NPC manually.

I have followed this setup but am running into 2 errors that are the same but on different lines.
Error CS0029 Cannot implicitly convert type 'CO2_CORE_DLL.IO.ItemType.Entry.<Name>e__FixedBuff er19' to 'byte*' MsgServer C:\Users\Alex\Documents\CO Server\Emulator\MsgServer\Item\Handler.cs 235
Error CS0029 Cannot implicitly convert type 'CO2_CORE_DLL.IO.ItemType.Entry.<Name>e__FixedBuff er19' to 'byte*' MsgServer C:\Users\Alex\Documents\CO Server\Emulator\MsgServer\Item\Handler.cs 249
